MC-275380Redstone wire does not update enough blocks
Build a setup like this and switch the lever.
The piston ought to be activated by the redstone wire but in 24w33a, the wire doesn't activate the piston.

I remember it couldn't be activated through the glass
in java edition, it could. that is called to qc activate. you can try it yourself.
If you flip the lever and then put a block beside the piston, the piston would extend. Conversely. if you switch the lever off with the piston extended, it wouldn't retract until you put another block beside it.
I believe the report should be confirmed as a bug.
