MC-40452Missing "pack.mcmeta" on Mac OSX
MOD EDIT: Cloned as previous ticket is broken and inaccessible.
When i open Minecraft there is no sound or musci and when i go to resource packs it says under Default "Missing pack.mcmeta" and I have deleted all files and retried and even redownloaded minecraft from scratch. It doesnt crash just no sounds and wont download them.

Can you still reproduce this issue?
No answer in a month, assuming no longer an issue.
Still an issue as per
MC-82593.Now a issue on Windows.
It's on OS X too. (15w33a)
15w33b - fixed.
Fixed in 15w33B. Not going back to the notorious world eater, 15w33A. That Minecraft nearly ate all of my command blocks.
Regressed in 15w43a -->
