Shears durability doesn't decrease on dead bushes
If you use shears on dead bushes, it doesn't take an use. While grass and such does.
Doesn't this make shears a bit inconsistent? And if this is an intend feature, I think would be a nicer idea if shears can break while cutting dead bushes and such since that's the same thing IRL.

Can confirm.
Weird how it depletes tall grass variants, and not on dead bushes. I would have thought this was because of the same reasons pickaxes don't deplete on torches. But with the depleting for tall grass, I think it may be something different.
True, true. Maybe shears should deplete when trying to pick up dead bushes.
NekoJonez: Does this still occur in the prerelease Minecraft 1.7.3?
I just tested it in 1.7.4. And yes, it still occurs.
When I was watching the latest episode of VintageBeef, he didn't get any damage to his shears when cutting wool that's placed. Isn't that related?
Is this still a concern in the latest Minecraft version 14w30c? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
I just tested it in 14w30c and yes, it's still a bug in the game.
Ahem This is still a bug in 1.8.3.
Still not fixed in 1.9 snapshot. (15w34d)
Fixed in the past.
