Transition between Biomes from 1.17.41 to 1.18 leaving hard edges between chunks / Biomes.
Steps to recreate.
Update an Xbox one bedrock survival world from 1.17.41 to 1.18.
Render new chunks.
Observe harsh transition and lack of blending between old and new world's.
Expected outcome.

Actual outcome.
Transition between old and new chunks is obvious and not blended properly.
Pictures attached.

This is not chunk corruption. "Corruption" usually refers to parts of a chunk or an entire chunk being voided.
Nor is this a critical issue. It does not make the game unplayable or cause irreparable loss of players' progress.
This is just imperfect blending between chunks generated in different versions. That has always occurred to some degree. Perhaps it is a little worse now than in 1.18 per this report and MCPE-154061. Perhaps that is a result of the fix for MCPE-149474.

from what i can tell they tried their best and i think they might fix it in upcoming updates maybe i have no clue but i have seen the same thing happening
Hi Matthew, yeah, I don't really mind. I just thought the devs might need to know. They've done an awesome job with this. My whole world below Y0 is also bedrock, no Deepslate, but didn't log that because it would just be a duplicate.
Can you please provide some example seeds and coordinates?
Hi Jay.
Seed is -1358238874
Coords: -2786, 86, 12579
Coords: -2542, 100, 12991
Thanks for taking the time to review this.
I'm seeing the same issues following upgrading a Bedrock Server instance from 1.17.41.01 to 1.18.0.02.

Seed is 1494988, coords can be seen in the images.
Biome blending needs to be improved on Minecraft bedrock, I can see where new chunks started very easily.
Yeah the edges are pretty harsh; here's on the world I play on

Biome blending has been added in the latest beta.
This has NOT been fixed!
Rob McCormick - Biome blending has been fully functional in newly converted chunks ever since the release of 1.19, it will not regenerate chunks that were converted in previous versions. If you're still experiencing issues with it, make sure you have the latest version of the game installed, and check to see if it happens to newly converted chunks. If so, please provide some reproductions steps!
