"Abandoned connection closed" error message when trying to join worlds
Steps to Reproduce:
- Join (my or someone's) a world.
- Observe
Observed Results:
- Most of the times you get the "abandoned connection closed" Error message.
- In (my) the World the message "player left the game" appears. The joining message does not appear.
- (This is what one person had)
Expected Results:
- The person/s should have joined me.
Notes:
- I once tried to join a (one of the peoples) world and I got the same error message etc.
- I tried to search for broken files, I re-downloaded the game, I restarted the game and I deleted the marketplace cache and nothing of this worked. The other person also restarted the game with no effect.
- The person plays on Xbox. Another person (where we have the same problem) plays on laptop (Bedrock) and has a different error message and no leaving the game message appears in my world. He also tried multiple things wich also didn't work.
- The laptop guy could join me sometimes but that's some months ago and it doesn't happen anymore.
- I do not know if only I, as a switch player, have this problem.
- I/we had the problem since quit some time now.
- It also appears to happen to mayby 50% of players that want to join me (not confirmed, just estimated)

I can confirm that some players that plays on moblie devices like ardroid and iOS is also unable to connect to connect to servers/worlds and gets the same "abandoned connection closed" error message.

This is not fixed. I tested the issue. The same error continues to occur. I completed the linked troubleshooting. The issue remains.
@Gern99 can you test if this is fixed then edit your ticket to say that 1.20.12 hotfix is an impacted version? I see in your comments that 1.20.12 did not fix it for you.

Steps to Reproduce
Try to enter a realm on windows 10 (may not occur on every account, so try a good few)
Observed results
In an account that is affected by this issue, the vast majority of attempts to join a realm that is owned by the account will end in the error message of "Abandoned connection lost" appearing, despite good internet and a relatively good computer.
Expected results
The attempt to join the realm succeeds and the player is able to log on to it
Notes
This issue is likely related to MCPE-172980, which also only started in 1.20.10 and has a similar error message, but affects Minecraft for Xbox. I have only experienced this issue on Minecraft for PC, but have also heard of reports of a similar issue on Minecraft for Playstation and affecting attempts to join servers as opposed to realms. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but that did not work, and only the realm I personally own is affected by this issue.

Is this still an issue in the latest release? Does this only occur in a world where a specific add-on needs to be downloaded? Please attach the add-on that is causing this if it's still a valid issue. Keep in mind that this could be an issue with the configuration or set-up of the add-on itself, rather than a bug in the game or a problem with certain components.
This report is a clone of MCPE-172980 which was resolved as fixed in the 1.20.12 hotfix.
This is also the same on servers as well, with the same issues arising and doing everything to try and fix the issue, such as restarting the device, restarting the internet connection, and even uninstalling and reinstalling the game does not work.
Additional info: The Xbox guy was able to join me but got kicked after 2 minutes from the game. After that, he wasn't able to join again.
I can confirm that some players that plays on moblie devices like ardroid and iOS is also unable to connect to connect to servers/worlds and gets the same "abandoned connection closed" error message.

The Nintendo Switch Minecraft bedrock edition has this same problem with going into a regular friends files.
Happens to me on Windows 11 and Switch
A realm owner can't join their own realm on Xbox do to this error
Here is a possible solution for the abandoned connection lost error.
To Reproduce: Sign in and out of your Microsoft account (you dont have to leave the game)
Then you do this again
Lastly whoever is in the server has to invite you and you have to accept the request
(Note: This may only work on Nintendo and PlayStation but feel free to try!)
What Happens:
No Method: Example left the game
With Method: Example joined the game
Note: You may be logged out after you join and you may receive Code Creeper
This issue have fixed in 1.20.12
I have an infinite load

1.20.11 update was not made available for Switch and the 1.20.12 update did not resolve this. This error continues to prohibit server access 9 days since 1.20.10 was released.

Additional information: After the 1.20.12 update finally came out for switch today, the Xbox guy tried to join me but he got stuck on "searching for server". In the world I was in, I could see that he was in the list of the people that "joined". I also couldn't sleep. But there was never a message that he joined (well because he actually didn't). Going back to the him. He waited over 5 minutes and couldn't get further than "searching for server.
Are we seeing ANY progress on this? Has anyone been able to get on custom servers since 1.20.10?
So after the 1.20.12 update the problem hasn't been resolved. Now people are getting either stuck at "locating server" or they get the "disconnected from server" error message. Please fix this. I want to play with my friends.
