I just can't believe that this happens on EVERY release! This is something that is noticeable by just doing a simple test. With this and the furnace bug I'm starting to wonder how MCPE is tested.
The bug is still in 0.7.1. I play on a kindle fire hd.

I was able to reproduce this bug... however right now it looks like a bug in Android rather than in minecraft.
We reproduced it with the new Wood slab, as it looks like that Android fails in really updating all the files in the apk... there is some kind of cached copy somewhere, so even though the files are correct, it reads an old language file and fails to find new definitions.
Our solution has been to delete manually and reinstall Minecraft PE, so you can try that... but I'll keep this issue open!
