Players connecting with 1.12.0 to realms sometimes do not load chunk correctly, falling out of world
Users on android bedrock 1.12.0 connecting to same realm see that large chunks are NOT loading around them, and often fall through the world into the void and die. While other players not connecting with android bedrock 1.12.0 who are in the same area see the terrain rendering correctly and the players falling straight through the ground and dying. Other players can even stand safely on the terrain not generating for the affected players. Players who do not fall into the void who enter unrendered chunks will often fall down and being suffocating. This happens randomly. Sometimes the player can enter the world safely and sometimes not. But definitely affects users on this version of bedrock connecting to realms.
Owner of realm speculates this is an client server issue where the correct data is not being synced. We have tried clearing the local game cache in the phones but it had no effect on things. Issue still persists making game extremely deadly to play. Please investigate.
I am attaching several screen captures that show what I see after attempting to join the realm within my base area. Large sections of the base simply do not render. Attempting to walk into unrendered areas will cause the player to fall and sink into the ground and suffocate. If they respawn where a bed should have been, they fall through and a continuous loop happens where they spawn, fall, and die. Only an OP player can teleport them away to a safe area. Other players unaffected by this bug can see and interact with the terrain correctly. Sometimes the missing chunks go all the way to the void and falling into them will cause the player to fall out of the world.
Please note the two comparison screen captures. These were taken after the OP gave us creative so that we stopped falling out of the world and so that we could take screen capture evidence. He took one from his view showing me standing beside him looking down upon the same area that was not rendering.
When we fell out of the world, the rest of the players saw us spawning high above our base area and falling straight through the world.
Whether or not this is a client or realm issue, we hope this gets fixed soon. Affected players must completely empty their inventories and place themselves into a chunk known to contain a pool of normally water to protect from suffocation / falling aspects of the bug. It can occur in both the overworld and the nether dimensions. More times than not there are rendering chunk bugs when specific players on android devices join the game. My wife and I use exact matching LG Q6 android phones running android 8.1 and get this bug repetitively. Others running some android devices in our realm post 1.12 update are also getting this bug. However, if I try to join on a much older android device, BLU Vivo XL running 7.x android, I do not appear to get this issue. Not sure what the underlying issue is.

Is it a chunk error?
Not a chunk error specifically because other players are able to interact with the terrain. This appears to be an issue with communication between the realms server and the client. Others are now reporting similar issues. This has affected multiple users on our realm who use android mobile bedrock. Wish we would get a response on this item. Hotfix required urgently.

Do you have any approximate dates for when this started to happen please?
Jay this behavior began immediately upon updating the realm and our clients to bedrock 1.12. We never had these types of issues prior to this. Realm was updated on July 9, 2019. And the client was updated on July 10, 2019 according to the screen captures that I took of the initial incidents. It has been occurring almost every time we join now.
Note also that a newly spun up realm world on different seed displayed the exact behavior.
It is still consistently only affecting some mobile android users, depending upon the age of their device. Devices running lower resolutions and older android OS (7.x and lower) for some reason appear to be able to connect more reliably without issues. Those with higher resolution capability and running android 8.1 consistently have this issue.
The missing chunk I referenced from yesterday morning was different than the one from the evening of 7/24/19. I've attached a screen shot of the first missing chunk. I've also attached a screen shot of what other players see when a player is rendering in the ground. The screen shot shows the player logging back in after the area had been dug out.
Note this has been happening to multiple players on different realms, some are on android bedrock while others are playing on xbox. We're also having problems with backups at the same time, so combined this is a recipe for disaster.
Can confirm happens on Xbox One Bedrock Realms as well
If you have a copy of the world available, you might like to upload a copy of the world save for investigation.
After downloading the Realm world:
If the world is larger than 10MB you can upload the world to OneDrive or a similar file sharing site, and then share the link.

I have a similar thing happening on my Xbox one.
This is happening on my bedrock realm too.
Same thing happens on our realm as well. The thing is that it happens only to some of us, while other players have never experienced anything like this.
P.S.
I've noticed that if this thing is about to happen after log in, the realm loads much quicker than usual.
Potentially FIXED in 1.13.0.
Finally something in 1.13.0 that isn't negative. For the first time in AGES, I do not fall out of the world or have massive chunks missing causing me to fall into solid blocks and suffocate.
I am almost trusting enough to start wearing my armor and inventory when exiting, but not quite until the next release.

So this just started happening to me last night in 1.14.1. I loaded into my realm on my Xbox One S (I normally play on PC) and my entire seed had reset itself. I went to my PC and it was the same. Attempted loading backups and every single one of them is missing entire chunks out of the world. I also spawned with an empty inventory. I have worked very hard on this world and until this bug hit me, I hadn't died once.
I see that this has been open since July and currently doesn't have anyone assigned. I'm wondering if I should just write this up as a loss due to a poor update and cancel my realm sub all together.
I should also add that I have not yet loaded this world from mobile since this started happening. The first instance of the bug occurred on Xbox and carried to PC.
Happening on my realm also. Kind of upsetting for a paid service.
Is this still an issue in the latest version?
