This also happening to me and the friends I share my realm with. We are all updated to the latest version of Minecraft but when we try to open our realm it tells us this same error message (503) please help!
It really is unacceptable.
It has been days now and not a word.
Realms is a service that we pay extra for monthly and it's been almost a week now since we have been unable to get into our realm.
Send out an email, put a message on the login screen, let us know that you're aware of the problem and are working to fix it rather than letting us feel that you just don't care about your customers.
Ours is the bedrock version by the way.
Come on guys, get it sorted.

Minecraft Realms for Java Edition has received a lot of updates and fixes over the last two years, so this issue has probably already been fixed in the meantime (e.g. because it was a temporary outage or an issue with the base game).
Since this bug report has not been updated since at least two years, please let us know if this is still an issue in current versions of Minecraft and update the bug report if applicable. If this is no longer an issue, please let us know as well. Thanks!
