To any nickname, even wacky, either the nickname is already taken, or deemed offensive. I’ve already uninstalled and installed the second one, I’m desperate, thanks

Yeah I have been having the same issue, I just bought the game and whenever I put it in the client as it needs me to create a username to play the game, it says all of the usernames...and I have resulted to keyboard spam and literally using different mixes of languages in English letter, so I think it just says everything is taken...I have also tried the main website but it says all of my username choices are offensive or taken...and I have tried the same thing with it, the username I want is MagicTheChimera which is my current Microsoft and this Mojang Bug account's username, but I have tried several things...including the keyboard spam, safe names like Cuddly_Bear, TomTheCat, TagYourIt, and several other, and of course the different shots at language mixes, but all are offensive...so just wanted to say that this issue is indeed happening for some reason
A friend of mine just bought the game and she can´t create an username neither play the java version. It says that the name is alredy taken or it is ofensive, even if she keysmash or type something random. Please Fix this bug

It doesn't matter regardless of what characters are used within the username itself, all are deemed offensive.
Please fix. Sooner than later.
This bug seems to be occurring worldwide. New Minecraft players are unable to play Minecraft because they cannot set their user name. This is an extremely devastating bug and requires immediate attention by the developer.

Same thing here, unable to set a username, neither from the launcher nor from the minecraft account (same as the two screenshots)

It's not gone. Friend of mine can't use his user name and it IS set on his Minecraft account.
still having can't log in with my username
I am having this issue currently. I have tried logging out and back in. I have uninstalled the launcher and reinstalled it and that did not work. I deleted every single Minecraft related file from my PC and installed the game fresh and that didn’t work either. I literally can’t play at all.
same issue here. tried making a user and it said "user has been taken". when checked namemc, it was still available.
