Hi (member of) team Mojang,
my name is Joey Knelange and I've found a bug in MineCraft. This bug is already in the game since, I believe, 1.7. I've never reported the bug before becouse I never knew how to do so.
The bug is that Andesite, Granite and Diorite won't generate above a height of about 80. I've found this bug when I was looking at some AMPLIFIED mountains and there seemed to be something wrong with them
Thanx for fixing the bug and making the mountains of MineCraft look pretty again!

Is this still an issue in the most recent versions (currently that is 1.10.2, or 16w43a) of Minecraft? If so, please update the affected versions and help us keeping this ticket updated from time to time. If you are the owner/reporter of this ticket, you can modify the affected version(s) yourself.

This appears fixed in 21w37a they no longer stop at Y=80
I don't think andesite, diorite and granite are added in 1.7. It also says in the Minecraft wiki that:
Nope, it was added in 1.8
Tan Chin Cheern the wiki is not an official source.

Can confirm in 21w05b. I searched for quite a long time and found no granite/diorite/andesite above y level 80.

This appears fixed in 21w37a Andesite, Diorite & Granite are successfully generating above y=80
