This is the bugtracker for the Minecraft Launcher, not for the actual game. Also, this is a duplicate of MC-102511 and has already been fixed in 16w21b.

I assume it has something to do with the texture file not being read correctly (duh) or the render, anyway would be cool if there was a way to keep it in the nether like that but turn the lava back to normal everywhere else. makes the nether look more scary.
