Item name above hotbar appears every time the durability of the item gets changed
When an item's durability is changed it will say above the hotbar what item it is again.

I cannot reproduce this. Can you explain how to reproduce this issue? I used a diamond sword to break gravel and it didn't show the item name hint above the hotbar each time it lost durability. What tools/blocks did you use?
I can confirm, when mining for example Stone with Diamond Pickaxe and the tool is losing durability - On top of the hotbar is shown the name of the tool. In this case: "Diamond Pickaxe".
Okay I can now confirm, I was mining dirt with a wooden axe and the item name hint showed above the hotbar each time it lost durability.
Only in Survival mode.
Confirmed for 18w20c. Quite annoying when mining
This is fixed in 18w22c
