The bug
Breaking Frosted Ice (from the Frost Walker (I/II) enchantment) with a Diamond Pickaxe enchanted with Efficiency V is far too slow. However, normal Ice breaks normally.
To reproduce
- Obtain a diamond pickaxe without enchantments
- Switch to Survival mode
/setblock ~ ~-1 ~ frosted_ice
- Take note of how long it takes to break the frosted ice with the diamond pickaxe
- Enchant the pickaxe with Efficiency
/setblock ~ ~-1 ~ frosted_ice
- Take note of how long it takes to break the frosted ice with the enchanted pickaxe
Observed behavior
There is no difference in breaking time using the enchanted pickaxe and the pickaxe without enchantments.
Expected behavior
Using the pickaxe enchanted with Efficiency would result in a smaller breaking time of the frosted ice.

The Bug:
The efficiency enchantment doesn't affect the speed at which frosted ice is broken.

Can confirm in 1.19.4. I originally thought one could drain an ocean monument by converting water to frosted ice and then instamining it with a Silk Touch pickaxe, but unfortunately frosted ice cannot be instamined and my plan has backfired
This issue still exists in Minecraft 1.21. Would adding frosted ice to the minecraft:mineable/pickaxe block tag solve this issue, perhaps?
