Press tab editing a sign; can't move focus away from the Done button
When in the sign editing interface, if I press tab while I'm editing the sign, the "Done" button gets focus, as expected. However, there is no way to move focus away from the button. Pressing tab (or shift+tab) again doesn't work, nor does clicking the mouse elsewhere. I can use the mouse to put the cursor back on the sign, and continue editing it, but as soon as I press space, the UI closes since the button still has focus.

I was putting signs up to show where each fletcher is in my trading hall when I found out that typing a space into the signs is really difficult. The game thinks you are trying to close out of the Sign UI because in the new update it defaults to autoselecting UI elements for accessibility reasons. This doesn't work in the Sign UI though because you need to be able to use the enter and space buttons for typing in the sign. Even closing out the sign UI entirely oftentimes doesn't deselect the "Done" button, which causes you to be entirely unable to input spaces into the sign for some time. (This doesn't even require pressing tab in order to trigger this bug.)
Steps to reproduce:
- Interact with a sign and type some text, and hit tab
- Close out of the sign UI and reopen it
- Try putting spaces into the sign
- See if the sign UI kicks you out
- Repeat until successful reproduction. This won't always happen on the first try and I am not sure why it sometimes doesn't happen.
Expected results
Pressing space in the sign UI always behaves as expected and puts a space
Observed results
Pressing space in the Sign UI closes the sign UI sometimes because it defaults to selecting the "Done" button.
Additional information
This bug is closely related to MC-195474, but from what I can tell this bug has only started occurring in 24w03a.

Can't reproduce: altho you can't switch from the done button, pressing enter doesn't close the sign, it moves the cursor to the lower row
My mistake: when I press space (not enter), the UI closes.
you are right - using space does reproduce the issue
