This ticket has been marked as a duplicate of MC-19996, in favor of the better description/information provided.
In the Statistics>Items menu, dyes of different colors are not listed individually; instead, they are all grouped under the same entry, with an ink sac icon. In the attached screenshot, the thirteen "ink sacs" crafted were twelve bone meal and one rose red. (Note that MC-19996 can also be seen.)
True, but I still won't be satisfied if the fix for MC-19996 calls them all ink sacs - though "wool dye" would be fine. Bone meal in particular should be listed separately, though, having more uses besides dyeing.

Is it the same as this?
MC-18948Yes, but forward resolved, this list is more complete.
This is still an issue in 13w36b. Also dirt is affected.
This is also in 13w41b and I using "Deutsch" as language
This is an issue for all languages, including US English.
Still an issue in 1.7.5 and 08a
Relates to
MC-3448Partially. I'm going to move the icon issue entirely to
MC-3448due to being unrelated. The name issue is due to the fact these blocks are defined by their metadata, and the icon issue is due to their custom models.Confirmed for 14w11b
Confirmed in 14w17a for skull
Confirmed for 14w19a.
Confirmed for cocoa bean for 14w21b
It seems like the only blocks and items with broken names in 14w25b are Stone, Sapling, Sponge, Prismarine, Dye, Fish, and Skull.
Confirmed for 14w26b
Confirmed for 14w31a for
and probably many more...
Confirmed for 14w31a for stone (tile.stone.name)
Fixed in 14w34d
Now they use the name of the block with data value 0, for example, all sapling are called "Oak Sapling". It's better than before, but still not completely fixed.
@branza: I think damage value statistics will be added in 1.9, since
MC-67163is marked as Fixed for 1.9.
