MC-2308Death by creeper sometimes destroys your items
When you die due to a creeper explosion, when you go back to the place where you died, sometimes not all your items you had at the time of your death will be there. This has happened several times. Although sometimes no items are destroyed, sometimes 1 or 2 stacks of items are destroyed. Once, I fell down into a cave, and a creeper blew me up, and when I went back I was only able to pick up about 6 stack of items out of the about 20 that I was carrying at the time of my death. I know creepers can destroy block entities when they explode (such that the actual dropped block disappears) but I have not seen this previously with the items in a players inventory. It is a very annoying bug!

Intentional, Explosions Have A Low Chance(Don't Remember Exact Statistic) Of Destroying An Item.
arthur stop starting every word of your sentence with a capital!!!!
If I remember correctly, explosions have a 32% chance of destroying items in your inventory.
Rather, I usually drop 4-5 stacks of gunpowder when i'm creeper farming.
