Same thing for apples too.
I don't know if this was just a one time glitch or if other players have experienced it as well.
Was it able to attack you?
I'd say you just happen to be accidentally breaking the block after you've harvested the crop, as opposed to the action of the block actually breaking being linked to harvesting the crop.
It's a lag issue, not a bug
I know this problem as well, it's a lighting issue where sometimes the chests and signs will go black when viewed from a certain angle, but they can appear normal again when the character moves about to a different angle. It sometimes happens with the character's arm if you are not holding anything.
I don't think this is a bug. Do you know if cactus is not supposed to be able to be placed next to anything at all? I thought it was just other cactus blocks.
While you are eating, the game lags. You try to consume one food item but it the game is still functioning while the screen appears temporarily frozen. When it resumes you have already started eating the second item and it is easily consumed. This happens to me all the time. It is difficult to avoid because the lag can happen unexpectedly.
Sounds like a lag issue, not a bug.
I don't see how the chunk could possibly unload, because the chunk is the 16X16 block area that extends from bedrock up to the top of the air (y=1 to y=256), so the air that you would be in above the beam would still be in the same chunk as the beacon and its beam, and that chunk could not possibly have unloaded.
Oh, I know what you mean! You used to be able to do this, but now it is so annoying that you can't!
What need could they possibly have for rotten flesh?
You could have just added the additional info as a comment for MC-2321.
This sounds more like an annoyance than an actual bug in the game.
I believe that bats are (at the moment) intended to be completely ambient, that is they are non-hostile mobs that do not give experience upon death, although other mobs do take some damage upon being hit with the fishing pole, so if you really want to kill the bats by using the fishing pole, I guess you could classify this as a bug.
Were you in the jungle, which is the only biome they naturally spawn in?
This is because the grass block is a separate item from the dirt block (both are obtainable in creative inventory).
I'm not sure that MC-4 is the same issue, as I have not experienced that issue. The items only drop to ground level from the decaying leaves, and there is no glitchy behavior otherwise, which is what MC-4 sounds like it is saying.
Works as intended currently.
Screen grabs of the statistics menu. The columns are: times crafted, times used, and times mined for blocks, and times depleted, times crafted, and times used for items.
It probably thinks you are trying to place the boat instead of opening the chest (which obviously the boat can't be placed).
What are those two grayish bar things? What is that snowy powder stuff?
I think I have made a duplicate of
MC-1725.I think I duplicated this issue with
MC-2078, can you confirm? On the second picture, the end portal has it's own block code? (like the nether portal?) Is the end portal a separate block from the end portal frame?
And I don't even understand why these would even be showing up in this menu!
This occasionally happens to your player as well, where you kind of sink below the blocks. Have also seen it for zombies.
Squids are able to survive above ground, they just can't move anywhere.
Shear the sheep and they should completely disappear if that was caused by the potion of invisibility.
I can confirm this, a very annoying thing. Not sure if it is exactly a bug, but still something that could be improved.
I can confirm this, so darn annoying when you die and you should respawn next to your bed, then just walk 20 blocks to pick up your items, but no, you reappear 2000 blocks away at the original spawn point!
And if you have two of them the same, you can't use either of those functions.
Never mind, I have resolved the issue and this can be marked as resolved. By clicking on the button to change it, ??? will show, and if you click left mouse, that is button 1. Right click is button 2, and scroll click, or both left and right click simultaneously is button 3. Not a bug!
Maybe at least there could be a text message saying that all buttons need to be different, as apparently I didn't pick that up from the red text.
Duplicate of
MC-1725.This is also a duplicate of
MC-65.This is not a bug.
This is not a bug. You can do the same with ladders and signs.
No, that is in the times crafted column. You can't craft ink sacs.
I have seen one fly once about 1.5 years ago back in Beta, but then the game crashed. I have never seen that happen again and I had assumed that they had fixed it.
But the thing is I have never done this before! I have not used the /give command to give myself these blocks, so they should not be appearing there!
I show you another picture, the middle column for the items is clearly marked "Times crafted"
And they should at least have their label so you know what they are.
Seems like a bug to me. I thought the point of sneaking was so that you couldn't fall off edges.
So you think this just might be a glitch on my computer?
What's the purpose behind it? And sneaking has hardly been around for a year.
Ok, so I accidentally added the screenshot for the blocks, which I've removed. Coal and ink sacs are showing up under the crafting column, and you can't craft either of those items. I don't know why they are showing up under there, unless selecting the item from the creative inventory is somehow being registered as the crafting of an item, which could explain why it is being placed in that column.
lol
Intended.
I think it has to do with the computer not realizing that you stopped pressing the key, and although it is not pressed, it is stuck in that position until you push it again.

MC-2093.Happened to me too. My cows temporarily escaped because they glitched through a wall.
This is not a bug. Pumpkins are mined the fastest with an axe, while melons are mined fastest with a sword.
This may be the same problem as
MC-886.What do you mean they are exactly the same?
Ok, thanks for clarifying!
Confirmed. I believe the appearance is the same of a normal chicken egg.
If you intend to move to a higher or lower block, why not just unsneak and move, and then resneak. Being able to sneak and jump and move puts you at risk of falling far off the edge.
It's definitely sand, not clay. And placing/destroying blocks does not help, unless you destroy and replace all the individual sand blocks (which I'm not going to do). Seed is not showing up, maybe I'm looking in the wrong place?
Seed is 6067250748822286812
Which direction are you placing them from? You can do this now you know.

MC-2385.Possibly related to
MC-2652.I hope so.
How do I check in that version? Force update?
Interesting, and I actually do not have any other dyes on the items page, which makes this even more bizarre.
Intentional that it falls, but it shouldn't look like the one in the image.
Well, I'll be darned. Someone did indeed already report this bug, multiple times too!
First screenshot is during day.
Second is during night.
Third is during night with potion of night vision. I think in that one the block appears as the normal daylight texture (maybe a little off from that texture though)
In all three screenshots, the Enderman is holding a block of sand.
This actually happens with all tools.
The cave noises should stop sounding if you're in the cave, because you've already entered it. However, I have noticed that they keep sounding, even after you have entered the cave. They are not coming from another cave, because I have mined out the entire area from the surface to expose the cave, but the noises still persist.
Confirmed. They glitch through walls too, or at least one does.
Yes, but the piston? The chest?
Tried it again, but may just have to be on compact blocks next to another light source, such as lava or a beacon. Also, the potion of night vision has to be thrown first.
Seed is x=10, z=-66. Also confirmed that destroying and replacing the sand blocks does not help. Also placing a screenshot to show that view from underwater does not fix the lighting either.
I just checked, and yes. I've updated the version.
Tried the seed again, but the world was not the same. It looked like the initial chunk was similar, but then there was jungle chunks, ice, and pine trees around it, which doesn't exist in my world. If it helps at all, I created this world probably back in Beta 1.5.
It rarely happens to me. It may have something to do with a corrupted world save.
Creative mode, on super flat mode. Destroy dirt blocks and bedrock to expose the void. Get a slime spawn egg or wait for a slime to come, and let it fall in the void. It will usually jump out.
Creative singleplayer

Anon, I don't understand what you mean. You need it for the same reason you need it on any other block, so you can look over the edge without falling. And of course you can fall more than 1 block if there if more than a one block space below the spot where you fall off.
That is exactly what I am talking about. The "half point" of the stair block is the point in which sneaking does not work.
I have only seen this happen for one minecart at a time as is shown in the first two images. How did you get the minecarts to stack on each other?
Crash report attached. This problem persists in 1.4.7
I don't think it's a duplicate, but they are both already related. The underlying code may be the same for this bug.
I'm sure the staff is doing all they can to fix everything ASAP. Hounding them won't help.
Windows 7, I don't know anything about the LWGJL files, but I don't think I've modified them. No mods, and Java-64.
Crash report is uploaded.
What would be the purpose of this?
I just think it would be nice to have the slanted rail turn into a flat rail, that way you don't have to replace the rail on the ground.
Now look what you've done. Thanks to you, not only are squids on land suffocating, but all squids, even in the water when they barely touch the air are dying. This wasn't even a valid bug to begin with. Not everything in Minecraft has to simulate real life. If this is true you might as well make a bug that states that you can get apples from oak trees, but not acorns. You ought to be ashamed of yourself. Thanks a lot.
Seems to work for all baby mobs but not for the regular mobs
I checked and didn't find it. I searched dark lava.
Thinking back now, I did have nightvision potion. Is that intentional that with that potion effect it's dark under lava?
I have since deleted the world. As I am unaware that no one else has experienced this bug, I would say it would be ok to mark it as resolved. My best guess is that those blocks were experiencing a lighting glitch.
To my knowledge it is not
Have not noticed this for some time now, probably was just a glitch on my computer.
No longer an issue.
No longer an issue.
Affects 1.7.2. No longer an issue at the "half step" of the stairs. You can only fall when sneaking down the steps on the edge.
It's called lag. It happens to all of us.
Still an issue in 1.7.2
affects 1.7.2
Still an issue. Photos added to illustrate. If you sneak directly toward the side of a stair you will not fall, but continue holding the sneak key and then move a half block down you will fall off the edge.
How is "won't fix" the resolution?
Same if the actual wood grows on you, you can't escape, but it takes too long to cut the wood before you die. The leaves you can at least cut in time.
