bundle.png and bundle_open_back/front.png use two different color palettes
The open bundle textures (textures/item/bundle_open_back.png, textures/item/bundle_open_front.png, textures/items/bundle_open.png - Bedrock only)
use a 'newer' duller palette (which was also used for the closed bundle in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition until 1.21.40.23, included in the showcase image), while the closed bundle texture (textures/item/bundle.png) uses the 'older' darker color palette.
This creates an inconsistency across item textures.
Either the darker/'older' bundle color palette should be used on the open_front/back textures, or the duller/'newer' bundle color palette should be retro-actively added to the closed bundle texture.

The title says 'closed bundle' yet the description describes the open bundle textures when checking the inside items.
To completely clarify this issue, are you reporting that the open bundle texture (when looking through its items) has a different color palette to the closed bundle texture? If so, I would like to update this report for clarity sake.
I made it clearer, hope it helps.
MC-275331was resolved as 'working as intended', would this not make the palette used in the java texture the expected one? If the java one should look as it does currently, the open texture should use the same paletteI honestly prefer the older ones, but the newer ones look more polished, which might be what Mojang intended to use. Whatever the intended palette is, I hope they can make it consistent before 1.21.2. I've seen they've updated the blaze texture (
MC-144327) after 5 years, so it seems logical to fix it soon.I've gone ahead and confirmed your report, but made it more general. Mojang should decide first of all if the palette being different is intentional in the first place, and if not, should then decide which color palette is actually intended.
the information in the report needs to be updated as the closed bedrock bundle is now identical to the java one
the description should be changed to smt like:
The open bundle textures :
textures/item/bundle_open_back.png
textures/item/bundle_open_front.png
textures/items/bundle_open.png (Bedrock only)
use a 'newer' duller palette (which was also used for the closed bundle in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition until 1.21.40.23, included in the showcase image),
while the closed bundle texture :
