MC-35704Invisible "Chest"

What I expected to happen was...:
The Chest you dissapear and would break.
What actually happened was...:
The Chest reappeared as a "ghost" block and was not accessible.
(I tried out pushing pistons into it in the pics.
The enchantment bug is another thing already reported I think).
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Type "/setblock ~ ~ ~ chest" in a 2x2 square.
2. Destroy the left block in the back chest.
3. Destroy the block in front of that block (other double chest).
4. The first chest is a "ghost" block

Dude that is weird on a server someone world edited my castle with skeli heads and when it was undo I placed a chest and it was a skeli head
I think I broke it. I ended up with the old "combined 3 chests" gui but with 4 chests. Will try again...See pic
In this next one, I broke the farthest most chest and saw 2 double chests, but this one im standing on was connected to all 4 chests and could open them at once...
One last pic, I put a trapped chest in that ghost space for a cool looking texture...

2: break the back left one and the front left
3: there willl be a ghost block at the right back

Still in 13w42b.
Is this still a concern in the latest Minecraft version 13w48b? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
