This bug is similar to MC-59897 and related to MC-60153, but I thought it deserved its own bug report. Sorry if it's duplicated, I couldn't find another bug report like this one.
As you can see in the attached screenshots, doors in strongholds generate with the top part duplicated and it looks really weird. If you notice, the hitbox is also bugged. I opened them, and the door opening sound played, but I couldn't go through the door.

Not a duplicate of MC-59897. Only torches on lamps seem to be affected.
Hit box occasionally glitches to different spots. Debug info in screenshots may help.
Also got the same bug plus: half slabs on Blacksmith's are placed inverted, and torches generate floating/"attached" to the air
Building materials of desert village are not rewritten.
Similar things happen in fortresses:
Wrongly attached Torches,
Generated doors consisting of two upper halves (and connot be opended/closed).
Generated buttons besides doors not working.
Upper half slabs are being generated where lower half slabs are expected.
To sum it up: A lot of the block ids were mixed up overall.
I think the title should be updated to "Logs / Slabs / Torches not generating in the right position in structures".
Also seeing the logs in villages. While I agree that the slabs should be mentioned in the title, torches have been attaching themselves to the air since who even knows when, to the point where it seems intended.
Confirmed in 14w27b villages generated in plains biome appear with the oak logs forming the corners of all the wooden structures facing sideways instead of vertical.
In 14w28a observed a village in a plains biome with the correct vertical orientation of logs. The roof slabs on the blacksmith shop also appear to be normal again.
