Breaking a double chest shows breaking animation also on not breaking chest half
When you break a double chest with an axe, the breaking animation appears on both chest blocks even though only one chest will break.

Hey I agree, but since it's not my game to fix, I'm just pointing out that the above is a way for Mojang to relieve themselves of part of this ticket. Just look at MC-63556. I think marking that WAI is silly, but again, it's not my game.

Confirmed. The double chest part seems to be WAI (MC-63556), not sure why though.
Also beds behave the same as doors.
