Pausing doesn't pause world logic in offline session
When pausing the game while in offline mode (couch coop/single player), the game does not pause the world logic. I expect the game to not pause the world in a multiplayer session but not in a couch coop session.

Getting this too. As a parent not being able to pause makes it impossible to make any significant progress and leaves me with a game that can't be played, I'm not sure how such a tried and tested feature was missed.
I’m in the same boat, the fact that can’t pause in offline play makes it almost impossible for me to get through some of the larger maps, as real life tends to need attention. Adding a true pause to offline play is a must.
I'm closing this bug as "Works as Intended". This isn't truly a bug, but intended behavior in the game. With that said, I definitely hear your pain and I too would like to see pausing in offline make it into the game! There is a popular thread on the Minecraft feedback site, which I highly encourage you to upvote and lend your voice to!

Mike Furlong, you should read the answer of Mojang just above your comment, the issue will not be fixed because it is not a bug. They designed the game like this. If you want the design to change go there: https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360067243411-Pause-in-offline-mode-
