How do you know that?
But Liam, were they a Minecraft: PE developer? If not, then their opinion on this issue is of no value whatsoever.
No one's opinion is of enough value to decide on this issue unless they are a developer.
We should wait for an official developer response before doing anything with this bug report.

This is a new feature.
Because the fire is now 3D along with many things that were only 2d screen overlays before. It looks better than the old one too and also doesn't seem like an accidental thing.
I'd be interested to see what the dev's say about this. I'm guessing it WAI as a new 'feature' - but I'm not sure the 'player on fire' looks quite right.
Does this issue affect 0.14.3?
Still affects 0.14.3 - iPod Touch 6th Generation
Affects [0.15.0] Beta 1 not realms
I don't see this as bug worthy. I see it as a feature. Someone did a showcase video on youtube pointing this out as a new feature soooo.
@Luke Arnould That is incredibly incorrect. First, the MCPE community are the people who give feedback to the developers about their game. This opinion highly matters, because they are the paying customers; and the developers listen. Second, the mod's decision on how/if to resolve a bug is important. We take care in what we do on this bug tracker, and we generally know what we are doing. I agree with gatharian, and this issue has not been fixed by the developers since 0.14.2 came out, so I'm beginning to believe that this Works as Intended. So, the mod's opinion is valued, and, to be perfectly frank, is valued higher than yours. Stop disagreeing. I will be nice, however, and wait for some input from Mojang.
Kaleb, I am very sorry if I offended anyone. I was not trying to disagree, but I was only trying to make sure that the developers had their way.
I was mistaken and honestly thought exactly what I said before regarding our opinions. I would now agree with you that our opinion matters.
I did not mean to disrespect Liam's decision. I did not understand a moderator's role in deciding on issues like this one; I had thought they were only for keeping this bug tracker organized and for reporting bugs to developers.
Once again, I am very sorry and apologize to Liam and any others who were offended.
@Luke Arnould Thank you, Luke. Apology accepted.
P.S. This was confirmed to WAI.
If this WA I then there should be a few tweaks. It really messes up traveling through the nether. This fire overlay makes it harder to see fire on the ground and I die a lot more frequently now then I did before because I keep walking into more fire and not knowing it. I'm not trying to disrespect the dev's decision to keep this but it should maybe be reworked to be somewhat transparent to make it easier to see other fire patches. I realize as of now the way things are rendered it's very difficult to do. But when possible to make transparent blocks, items and overlays it would make it easier to see more fire patches and avoid them.
Thanks for reading and have a great day!
