I have also encountered this same issue multiple times on PC. Especially when leading a horse through the water with a lead, and then trying to ride it after arriving on the shore.
I can confirmed, After unleashing the lead and then ride into horse can be causing retract into water pool or a sea river in overworld, This only occurs that makes blowback can be suffocating tamed horse. I Believe here is a demonstration video: MCPE-176316.mp4
Steps to reproduce
Observed result: The tamed horse can be retractable into the sea river after player unleashed and ride
Expected behavior
Tamed horse after player unleashed and riding can could not be retractable to sea river
In this case will also affects for tamed donkeys or mules which has a same problem to be retracts blowback.
This happens to me regularly on Bedrock v. 1.20.41. Usually it teleports back to the water, which is annoying but not fatal. Most recently, it placed me underground where my avatar died. And since I was holding a totem of undying it immediately resurrected me in the same spot where I quickly died again. And somehow in that process it cleared my respawn spot and transported me back to my original spawn point, thousands of blocks away. So, all stuff lost.
What devices are you using exactly, what model and OS versions? We could not reproduce on a new world on our android and win10 devices.
Can you also share your dxdiag file with us (if you reproduce on windows)? Instructions on how to get dxdiag file can be found here. You can delete or blur out the info you consider private, or this report can be flagged as private if you find it necessary.
I could only reproduce in latest release (1.20.50) but this seems partially fix in latest preview (1.20.60.22) when i using oppo CPH2083, PowerVR Rogue GE8320, Android 9.0, We do not private this issue.
This has been happening to my sister and I since 1.20.40. She plays on iOS (iPhone) with the latest updates. I play on Android 13. The world we play on is on Realms.
I have some additional information on this bug. If you ride a horse, donkey, or mule into the water and then put a lead on it and walk it out of the water, you will in most cases get the teleport situation upon remounting the animal. You may be able to free it from the lead and let it move on it's own for a while and avoid the teleport on remounting.
HOWEVER, if, instead of riding it into the water and then attaching the rope to lead it out, you dismount on dry land, fasten the rope, lead it first into the water and then out again, and then remount, it appears that the teleport glitch never occurs.
I couldn't reproduce this issue in 1.21.20.23 preview, This possibly no longer issue that anymore on singleplayer world.
If you there still reproduce any further some servers or realms might be possible?
