Shulker boxes occasionally invisible in inventory
Occasionally, breaking a Shulker box breaks the box but does not drop the box (or the drop is invisible?)
The world in question is a Survival Microsoft Realm. I restored a snapshot which shows the box floating where it should have dropped. I don't know if this means it was invisible and not able to picked up or something else.
This has happened on 3 boxes for me so far, in roughly 300 hrs of play. This is the first time on 1.21.2. Other occurrences were under 1.20.xx.
I am filing this under windows, though at least one of them occurred on the Nintendo Switch (all the same realm).
No mods are used.
All were dyed (2 yellow, 1 orange), the most recent was named. Contents were all various redstone components, mostly all stackable. Boxes were not totally full.
The most recent box was broken with a Diamond pickaxe with Fortune 3, Unbreaking 3, Efficiency 5, Mending. Box was sitting on a grass plain in sunny daylight weather.
This doesn't appear to be the same as any of the other shulker bugs posted recently, as it occurred on the most current version as of this posting, and was broken with an axe, not a hand. It is also not clear what makes it happen, as it works most of the time.

Resolving as a duplicate of MCPE-184170. If you switch to the third hotbar slot and press the place button, the shulker box should reappear.

I've had this happen to me before. In my case, the shulker box was just invisible. Switching to the hotbar slot that the shulker box should have been in and pressing the place button made the shulker box reappear.
This has happened a few times to me on ps4 (single player world) where I break my shulker box to pick it back up but nothing drops and its not in my inventory. Sometimes it will appear in my inventory after a long time or if I exit and re-enter the world.
Ocelot I relogged this last time and it showed up, but prior I never recovered my other shulkers
I had this happen a 2nd time this weekend.
I was paying closer attention. I had 2 shulker boxes on the ground. I finished placing items and broke both in rapid succession. One went into my inventory, one did not. It did not make the item collection sound of picking an item up. After thoroughly checking the area, I tried logging off and then logging back in to see if it would re-appear. This time it re-appeared in my inventory, where it was previously not. It appears the box was there in my inventory but invisible. The next time it happens, I'll try to fill every inventory slot I have and see if there's an invisible item that can't be moved.
Anecdotal confirmation; I just experienced the same thing but on the Java edition, but can't find an equivalent bug report for it there, not sure what the routines are for issues that potentially affect both versions.
Placed two shulkerboxes inside the "captains cabin" area of a sunken ship while looting the chest in there and sorting items, and when I mined them again (with a fully enchanted diamond pickaxe), one was put into the inventory while the other was not. Tore the entire surrounding area apart trying to find it again in case it had glitched inside a block in the boat or something, but it had neither floated up nor sunk anywhere, and there were no dolphins in the area that could have joinked it. No invisible entities in my inventory, as it filled up completely with parts from the boat after.
This happened on a small multiplayer server, version 1.21.1

The shukerbox sometimes when we collect it after breaking it it disappears and we have to restart the game for it to appear again. This happens to me on the ps5, ps5 version of minecraft
I just submitted a "duplicate" of this last night. It is happening during every gaming session, and I have now confirmed that another member of my Realm is experiencing the same issue.
This can potentially affect all items in the inventory. Sometimes armor and tools are also invisible. They will only become visible again after the world has restarted.
