Text on signs doesn't display through glass
when i was in my world (New Epton city) i was trying to put a for sale sign up in in the window of a shop when i noticed this issue as i had the idea of it looking like a cool design for the new shop that was for sale in my world.
i also joined the world over lan and funny enough you could see it so this must be an issue for xbox only.

So, what you're saying is you can see the sign through the glass, but you can't read what's written on the sign?
yes I cannot see the text sorry I posted it then noticed I could have worded it better.
So turns out. sign text does not show if you look at them through Glass..
My friend posted this in our Realm feed...
We did some testing and found it was only the xbox users
I've also had experienced this issue, and have mentioned my experience in a similar bug report (
MCPE-57254). I am also on Xbox One.Won't re-hash the whole comment, but I would like to point out that this bug happens through glass blocks as well as glass panes.
I can read signs through glass. I don't use a texture pack.
This bug is fixed in the latest beta version, and the fix will be included in a future update when that is ready for full release (no specific date can be given). We will leave this ticket open as a point of reference until the fix has been fully released.
Resolving issues that were marked as fixed in the 1.15 and 1.16 Betas, now that 1.16.0 is being released.
