slime blockdisappears. If one sets a piston horizontally and makes it push a slime block horizontally, the block beneath the extended piston's arm disappears.
The steps:
1) Place a sticky piston down and make sure it's pushing horizontally
2) Place a slime block in front of it.
3) Set the piston off with a redstone torch.
4) The block beneath the piston's extended arm has disappeared.
1) Place a horizontal-facing sticky piston at least 2 blocks off the ground
2) Place a slime block next to the piston such that the sticky piston will push it horizontally when powered
3) Place a dirt block on TOP of the slime block.
4) Rapidly power and unpower the sticky piston over and over again.
5) Every now and again dublicate dirt blocks will appear out of nowhere.

Whenever I load up a new world in this snapshot, the Day/Night Cycle is broken. It's as if doDaylightCycle is set to False by default.
The sun goes up a little bit then just goes straight back down again to where it was a few seconds later, as if the time was being set to 0, but it does this endlessly.
EDIT: This glitch also seems to affect mobs. They move in slow-mo when this is happening.
Endermites glitch into blocks all the time and get stuck and jiggle about really violently and can't escape.

Also, for a while they aren't hostile after using a spawn egg.
Basically, pretty much everything about them, their movements, behaviour, AI etc. is broken.
Instant crash upon loading the world in 16w38a
When trying to run 16w38a singleplayer it spawns the terrain and then instantly crashes. I have never had a problem running Minecraft on this laptop, but it keeps instantly crashing. Whether I play an old world or try to create a new one, it still crashes immediately after the terrain around me generates.

Laptop Windows 8.1 64-bit Java 4 gigs of ram launcher 1.6.61
The world loads and then it immediately crashes!
Using Windows 8.1 64 bits, max 2GB Ram can be dedicated to Minecraft (I experienced crashes before when it was 1, but changing to 2 fixed it).
I can't get them to debug
If you place a coral block at the surface of the water, then dry the surrounding area with a sponge, the coral does not die.
It will die however if you destroy an adjacent block (say the stone block) that is touching the coral block. Placing a block next to it will also update the block. But the block should update as soon as it's sponged and dried.
I would provide an image but my computer's being a dick and saved my Minecraft screenshot in a completely unknown place and I can't find it anywhere.

I was playing on Survival trying to survive starting in the Nether, in Pre-release 8. I was attacked by a Piglin with low hunger so health was not regenerating. Each hit from the Piglin's sword was doing 4 hearts of damage exactly, whereas before it was doing 4.5 hearts.
I switched to Hard Mode to test this out further, and where Piglins previously did 6.5 hears of damage per hit, they now did 6.
It's not been mentioned in any changelog which makes me think it is a bug rather than a silent Piglin nerf.
I have been playing around the 1.16.2 pre-release. I was trying to find a Treasure Room bastion to look at the improved loot. I teleported myself to bastion after bastion, but not a single Treasure Room. I don't remember treasure rooms being super rare before, and there's no mention in the changelog of them becoming super rare.
I am not kidding when I say I teleported to 40 different bastions, and not a single one of them was a treasure room. It could be very bad luck but the fact I visited 40 and saw not a single treasure room has led me to believe this is a bug. If each of the 4 types has an equal chance of spawning, the odds that I'd not find a single one out of 40 is almost nil.
I must also add that a disproportionately high number of bastions were the "bridge" type - at least half of them in fact.

EDIT: Visited 100 bastions, no treasure room. Absolutely certain this is a bug.

Wow. I think I may just have discovered one of the strangest bugs in Minecraft. You will almost not believe what this, but I swear this is real.
I was messing around in Experimental Snapshot 4. I was exploring some of the new mountains, but also some of the new caves. I found a cool cave entrance at the surface, and I followed it down and down and down. Swam through a flooded cave, and then followed the system down further to a dry cave. I kept going down and eventually was in deepslate layers. This opened into a quite a large cave (but not one of the megacaves). That is where I noticed some odd iron generation.
The iron was sort of peppered around the cave floor instead of in blobs or veins like usual. There was some tuff there, too. I mined some of it up but I found some more iron ore, also scattered around. This, to my surprise, led to MORE iron ore. I kept mining it up, but more and more kept showing up.
So weird, before the biggest vein of ore I found was like 10 or 12 ores? But my gosh this just kept going and going. Within no time at all, I had a stack of raw iron. But this just kept going on and on. I kept finding more and more and more and more and more iron. For the next 10 minutes, I mined, utterly dazed and confused. I've played Minecraft for 9 years but I have never seen any bug
LIKE this. And I've seen some VERY strange ones in my time! This has to be the 2nd weirdest bug I've ever encountered behind the overlapping music bug in 1.7. In minutes, I had four or five stacks of iron. Basically, I figure something in this seed happened with the generation of iron ore, and it's triggered an infinite vein of iron ore. Because this thing never ended. Eventually, I gave up trying to find the end of it and figured it went on forever until the world border.
What's strange though is that this is a multiplayer world me and a friend made to explore these new experimental snapshots. As we were exploring the mountains for quite a while, I was quite far from spawn when I found this. Unfortunately, because we're both offline, the server has closed down and my friend, who runs the server, has gone to bed, so I can't get the seed and coordinates. But as soon as I can obtain this information, I will provide it. Because this bug has to be seen to be believed.
But hey, on this world I guess I will NEVER need to make an iron farm!

Wait...... WHAT??? These endless ore veins are a FEATURE???????? HOW did I miss this??? I followed the update closely!!!
They do end... right? How big are they???
DISCLAIMER: This actually happened in 1.18 Experimental Snapshot 4, not 1.17.1. I tried to submit it as a Future Update (1.18+) but some automated robot moderator threw a hissy for that and removed my ticket. So here goes again.

Lefty Power123 No, this is not intentional.

Put the sticky piston on grass blocks...
I cannot upload screenshots, sorry.
It's very simple though but I'll go through the steps yet again
1) Find a plains biome.
2) On a grass block in creative, place a sticky piston so that it will push sideways, and not upwards or downwards etc.
3) Place a slime block in front of the sticky piston such that when the sticky piston is powered, the slime block is pushed.
4) Place a redstone torch next to the sticky piston to make it push the slime block.
5) You'll notice the block underneath the extended piston arm is missing.
Oh Ok then I didn't realise that ALL the blocks were getting moved!
No one looked at that.
They should be louder, I can barely hear them even on max volume
How the hell can I set up a command block and redstone clock when I only just loaded up the world!?
Use common sense, you're a mod!
Still happening in 14w33c.
Well DUH of course it's a duplicate! Because I was told to re-open it in 68012 !!!!!!!!!!
Works as intended... are you having a laugh?
Thanks, it worked, but this is still a bug. If I typed it wrong, it should have said "No gamerule found" instead of saying "Gamerule has been updated"
I added the crash report, can this ticket be re-opened please?
Do I really have to attach the full crash report? It contains my real name and I don't want to post that to the internet.
Okay but I am still going to block out my real name.
I can't submit it it's too long.
It's a word document because I wanted to change it to block out my real name from the report. Nothing else is changed though.
Yay, doing those things appears to have fixed it!
This isn't a bug this is how the biome is meant to be.
How is this a bug? It looks intentional to me.
Re-open this please.
I mean it's pretty obvious what the problem is. The water and the stairs are not right.
Now, I know absolutely NOTHING about coding, or anything about game programming..... but surely coding only 4 states of waterloggable wouldn't be too difficult.... right?
Would it really be harder than say, making parrots fly or dolphins jump between 2 bodies of water?
I dunno, they never mentioned in any changelog nerfing their damage. And why would they get such a MASSIVE nerf?
Maybe the bug arose in Pre7. It's hard to tell with these pre-releases coming so fast. But compare it with any of the snapshot versions and you'll see.
Apologies for this. It turns out Piglins never did 4.5 hearts of damage on Normal.
I went back to an early snapshot (20w09a) and Piglins still did 4 hearts on Normal and 6 on Hard.
The Wiki said they did 4.5 on Normal and 6.5 on Hard, and as such I had a false memory of them doing such. It turns out they never did and the Wiki was wrong.
Also present in the release candidate.
Seriously? WAI?
Can we re-open this? I don't think this is WAI. It wasn't like this in earlier snapshots.
The issue is they don't see you through these blocks. They may charge through them if they're already charging.
Wait... are these giant infinite veins actually a feature???? HOW did I miss this? I've followed the update closely!
How big are they?? I imagine they're not infinite, right?? Just massive??
This is not a valid ticket anyway. It turns out this isn't a bug at all. I was unaware that these mega ore veins are actually a feature added some months ago that somehow flew under my radar.
I guess they are very very rare. But if you've played Survival Minecraft for 9 years then come across something like this for the first time, not knowing it's intentional, it.... really does seem like a VERY strange bug!
