Endermen become hostile toward a player when looked at during the day
The bug
Endermen will be provoked by a player that looks at them, even during the day.
What I expected to happen was:
The enderman would remain neutral as it did in previous versions.
What actually happened was:
The enderman became aggressive.
How to reproduce
- Find an enderman (either through natural spawn or /summon enderman)
- Wait for it to become daytime (or use /time set noon)
- Look at it (make sure you are in either survival or adventure mode and at most 64 blocks away)

Created Issue:
Endermen Teleporting away from my view then back in daylight
When I look at an Enderman in daylight it teleports away but then into my view even if I'm looking somewhere else
I expected the Enderman to teleport somewhere else and just stay over there as it did in 1.8 and 1.7 and 1.6 and 1.5
*What actually happened was the Endermen teleport away and then later teleport back into my view for seemingly no reason even after I have already moved somewhere else a few minutes later
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Look at Enderman in daylight
2. Wait
3. Watch as it teleports back to crosshair areaEnvironment

At first I didn't realize I got the ticket! Thank you so much [Mod] Michael Wobst for my new present, it means so much
Does this issue still happen to you in 1.10.2?
In creative mode it does, In survival mode they are just trying to murder me still
Is this still an issue in the latest snapshot 16w44a? If so please update the affected versions.
This is an automated comment on any open or reopened issue with out-of-date affected versions.
endermen teleporting seems to be working now, but they are still trying to murder me in broad daylight in survival
Can't reproduce
I'm able to reproduce, not sure whether this intended though.
In what versions they remained neutral when looked at during the day?
Jon1337, they remained neutral in versions 1.8 and prior. If you look at the report history, you can see I actually deleted that info, but I can re-add it if it helps
It doesn't matter if its day or night. If you look an endermen in the eyes, it will provoke it. This is just how endermen have always worked. Tested it in 1.9 and they do it and all versions preceding it will do it as well.
