Can't invert daylight sensors in adventure mode.
Can't toggle the daylight sensor/inverted daylight sensor in adventure mode. Seems like something that should be possible.
Environment
Minecraft Java Edition on Ubuntu 14.04 but possibly on other platforms.

This is controversial, I'm sure this is not an issue. There would be no reason to unless you were going to use it as a mechanic of some sorts.
Though, it would be nice to see a way to make certain unusable blocks to usable or vis-versa by attaching NBT data to them such has you can by the following command arguments:
CanPlaceOn:[]
CanDestroy:[]
It would be awesome to see something like:
CanUse:[]
DEFINITELY
CanUse would be so useful
Then you'd have to make every block a tile entity, which is unfeasible. I believe using CanPlaceOn:[] lets you interact with the block, although that requires an item to be held.
Yeah you're right. CanPlaceOn works as you'd expect for spawn eggs, item frames, flint & steel, etc
CanPlaceOn:[] by its literal meaning doesn't look like it can allow all sorts of right click action on certain blocks. Are there any plans for flattening nbt names?
I agree with tryashtar about CanPlaceOn being expected for spawn eggs, item frames, flint & steel, etc
