Confirmed in 18w16a. I found a village in the middle of a forest and the trees are crazy close together. It's as dense as a roofed forest in spots and they are super tall.
The trees are also eating the village. But I'm not sure if that is caused by this bug or by MC-124949. But I'll post this there as well.

I think this is actually villages generating inside trees/other things. I found some tall grass growing on village house roofs as well, I will attach some examples soon.

Found another seed in a forest where are all the trees are SUPER close together. The close trees was reported as a separate bug (
