Book and quill does not accept formatting character
When I try to copy and paste the formatting character into a book and quill in 18w43c, it does nothing and I just type normally. This does not happen in 1.13.2 or in 18w43b.

It does not. MC-138046 is about formatting, this is about the paragraph character.
I cannot reproduce this in 20w17a anymore. Pasting the formatting character (§) is no longer possible (see MC-138046), however even with upgraded books from older versions or by using workarounds like the one below, the formatting applies to wrapped lines as well when the book is signed.
