The Bug:
Lily pads can instantly break when placed near immobile boats.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Enter a large body of water and summon a boat by using the command provided below.
/execute align xyz run summon minecraft:oak_boat ~-0.33 ~ ~-0.43
- Place a lily pad down west of the boat.
- Take note as to whether or not lily pads can instantly break when placed near immobile boats.
Observed Behavior:
Lily pads can instantly break.
Expected Behavior:
Lily pads would only break when nearby boats are mobile.

The bug
When you place a lily pad very close to a boat that is not moving, the lily pad will instantly be broken by the boat even though it is not moving. Seems like the boat just always breaks all lily pads around it even when it doesn’t move. Relates to
MC-667. Before it was fixed you could do the same thing by placing them inside the boat, but you can still have them break instantly when placed next to them.How to reprocuce:
- Go to a body of water
, don’t push the boat!
- Place a lily pad west of the boat
It instantly breaks.
