Structures do not respect blending and biomes
I tried updating my world from 1.14.2 to 1.18 and when I reached the border between the new and old generation I found a mineshaft in an iceberg, and I was like this: ._.
So I tried to verify something, I copied the same seed from my world and generated a world in 1.18 with that seed, I went to the same coordinates where I found the mineshaft on the iceberg and I found a mineshaft from the plateau and arrived to the conclusion that the structures of 1.18 are generated in blending

Actually seems like MC-241698 might be a better fit since it appears to be blending specific

The duplicate issue posted isn't the same situation as this one. MC-241698 is about actual chunk blending bugs, while this is due to cartographer maps.
(This is a pretty insignificant bug in the great scheme of things, but it makes for easier guardian farms)

Please attach your world, so we can access what happened. If you have the un-upgraded world, that would be best.
This is a highly difficult task to exactly recreate the chunks you generated.
Thanks for your answer, The requested world has already been uploaded, I tried it before uploading it and it kept generatingce, I tried it in pre-release 4 and it kept happening

MC-241308.Apparently, it was also possible for mineshafts to generate in icebergs in 1.17.1, without upgrading your world or using blending. See this message from the Minecraft@Home discord server.
Like the example in this report, the example from discord has a badlands biome next to a frozen ocean biome.
