When you press the "Defaults" button in the customized world generation settings, a message appears asking you if you are sure about this. At the same time all GUI elements in the background are being disabled (probably to prevent MC-24390 from happening). If you however resize the game all buttons will be enabled.
How to reproduce
- Open the customized world generation settings
- Change a value
- Click on the "Defaults" button
- Resize the game
→ All buttons are enabled again

Because
MC-258is a general bug which affects text fields, while this seems to happen only for these buttons and not for allMeh, reopened.
Is this still an issue in the most recent versions (currently that is 1.10.2, or 16w42a) of Minecraft? If so, please update the affected versions and help us keeping this ticket updated from time to time.
Can confirm for Minecraft 1.12.1.
