Some Custom Skin facial features are missing
So everytime I load into minecraft, my characters eyes are the eyebrow normal ones. However, recently when I load in, my eyes are gone. They dont appear in the options, and my character has no eyes on the visual. This is just demonic, very creepy. I want my eyes back.
I have deleted minecraft 3 times, signed out 3 times, and restarted my device 3 times. I give up, since it is on both pc and Playstation of Bedrock. Its on your guys side, please fix this. I dont want to look demonic this holiday season!

Seems super weird and random that those eyes and only these eyes would disappear. Hope it is resolved soon.
Can confirm this issue is also on switch and ios for me. Checked to see if any other character creator items were affected and it seems to just be the eyes for some reason. I had a different set of eyes than the op of this report but mine have also been removed as of this update (1.19.51)
Confirming this issue. My wife and daughters have all lost their eyes, lol.
We went through a list of eyes documented at https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Character_Creator and compared them to the eyes in the character creator today and found that these eyes are absent.
Got the same thing; I have several variations of the same skin; (basically the same head with different accessories on the rest of the skin) and my eyes are gone on all of them. I really don't want to just change my eyes; they're quite defining to my character on the server I play; and even got custom emoji's based on it on the discord server we hang out it.

MCPE-165570I also have been having this issue. Most notably the hair, eyes, and mouths are missing almost everything outside of the "cast" features. As far as I can tell, the style section is unaffected. (Bedrock edition/Minecraft for Windows, 1.19.51)
Lost my custom characters when I first loaded the game with this issue, it defaulted to Steve/a cast character, overriding my customizations. I can't re-make the characters without the hair/eyes/mouth options that are seemingly nonexistent now.

Well, it's the new year, and still the same issues. When will the "Open Smile" option come back? I enjoy playing Minecraft, but this relatively recent setup and attitude are starting to appear weird.

I don't think they will be adding the old options back in. The change seems very intentional as everything that was removed seems to have had a option replacing it. An example being that they replaced the "shy blush" option with the "dot eyes" option.
It seems that this was an intentional thing by Mojang and I doubt it will be changed any time soon. There is a possibility that it can be changed back if there was enough backlash or if enough people talked about it, but it seems that not that many people know/care about the character creator to do so. There is little to no documentation on this change. Every large bedrock creator who covers the changes between versions has not covered this change as it is not in the change logs or documented anywhere else but this single bug report. It wouldn't be a hard thing to revert back to as it seems that all the old textures are still in the files. (I know this as one of my skins still has one of the removed options visible)
I don't know if this applies to anyone else or if its just me but every time I get motivation to play Minecraft, I quickly lose all that motivation once I see my character have its face missing with no way to add it back. And knowing that most likely these options will never be added into the game again makes me not want to play the game anymore. I know to some that might be extreme but I have built a lot of my online presence off of this character (Examples being: All my socials have art of my character as its profile picture, me making this character in other games when I have the chance like terraria and others) and to just see it be removed is just really upsetting to me.
All I ask Mojang is either these options get added back into the game or we get confirmation that these options will never be coming back by adding this change into the change logs.

Basic hoodie - By Minecraft has also gone missing,
I've tracked down a link to the original item, and it now has a lock icon on it, like would be present on a achievement locked item, but it has no associated achievement,
it has the equip button and you can press it and your guy dose a spin and the button goes away as if you equipped it, but than it just disappears as you back out of the skin creator
The Wide Smile was my favorite mouth option. Now all the current ones suck by comparison.
Not only are the facial features are affected, but It also caused some other items in the character creator that are affected by this same issue to mysteriously disappear. This issue started happening somewhere in October 2022.
It still hasn't been fixed in the latest version, and I lost motivation playing Minecraft because of this. Many character creator items I use like shy blush is missing, and my character doesn't feel the same anymore. It's as if I lost my Minecraft identity, and I really hope this is fixed soon.

this has been broken for around 4 months now. it's pretty frustrating to those it affects and it is a real stumper as to why this is hard to fix or why it is broken in the first place. the skin items became broken in the market place and character creator separately from any update to minecraft bedrock edition itself.
can someone give a real update about this issue? do the right people know about it? it seems extraordinarily ironic that this has been broken just before the update that's all about making minecraft your own and telling your own story.
On Switch ALL of the character creator items are gone, if it's not a part of one of minecrafts characters, it just doesn't exist anymore. The "All" options in hair, mouth, eyes, and every other option is just empty. Seems minimal but I kind of hate playing without the character I created to look like me. This needs to be fixed....
Got a new computer (going from windows 10 to windows 11), installed minecraft, and now my "suspicious" eyebrows have switched to "suspicious brows" and my character looks ridiculous. Would love to know if this a bug they intend to fix, or if I have to completely redesign my character
I have also been affected by this issue; this is I believe the only image I have of how my skin's body looked like, this specific mouth is nowhere to be found (and I believe the base of the skin has also changed, though I'm not completely sure).
When I logged in today, my character had a different mouth, no hair and a different base equipped (Alex's). This is as close as I've been able to get with what I have right now (clothing is different, as I've changed it since taking the photo above, but I wouldn't say it's not related to the issue at hand because for whatever reason my skin was also barefoot when I logged in).
What might be unrelated, but I'll mention it anyway, are two things:
I lost my big smile and had to find a new mouth and a beard to cover it up as well as now losing the my mop of hair, I don’t remember what it was called, might have been tousled, mop, or messy, something along those lines.
Just downloaded 1.21 Bedrock on PC today and noticed none of my character customisation had carried over. I went to recreate the character as I was still logged in on my Switch so I could compare, it was only then that I noticed some features (mainly for me, Shy Blush) had been removed from the character creator.
For now the character still displays on Switch but not sure if it'll be deleted now that i had to make a new one on PC.
The "Large Smile" mouth is back! As are "Extra Wide Smile," "Wide Smile," "Shy Blush," and "Large Frown" (I'm not sure if "Scream" is the same as the "Ahh!" mouth or no). The "Sudden Blush" mouth is still missing, though, as is the version of it without the blush (the closest to it is the "Teeth" mouth, which lacks the two non-teeth pixels on the edges).
I also want to mention that the normal "Smile" mouth is bugged, appearing as a 3x2 boxy "u" instead of what appears in its icon:
This specific mouth does appear to be fixed in the latest preview version, to be honest, but I still wanted to mention it just to be sure it's made aware of, because I recall seeing it fixed in the preview version in the past, only for it to still display incorrectly in the next full release (though I've likely not played enough to know whether or not it was truly fixed but then bugged again in the next release, in all honesty).
The "Standard"/default eyes are missing, now. Characters that already had them equipped will keep them as long as you don't change the eyes, but the standard eyes don't appear in the character creator's "Owned Eyes", only variants of them.
