Swimming/Crawling 'cursor' targets 1 block above
Expected Results: Right-clicking/tapping a block or object while in a 1 block high space or while swimming will interact with that block or object; eg. placing a block in front of you, setting a repeater tick time, pushing a button/lever, etc. Mining/digging the block in front of you at camera level will mine that block.
Observed Results: You are unable to place blocks and interact with objects (buttons/levers, repeaters, etc.) at camera-level while swimming/crawling. Placing a block while in a 1 block high space or while swimming attempts to place the block above you. Mining/digging the block mines the block above you.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Dig out a 1-block high tunnel.
- Use water to start swimming and enter the 1-block high tunnel.
- Interact (mine/dig/place block/etc.) with the block immediately in front of you.
Comments:
Until 1.13.0 onward, you could place a line of redstone and repeaters in a 1-high tunnel, which was extremely convenient and useful for making compact and discrete redstone "tubes" in built structures and in water.
There's also a glitch where coming out of a swim while touching the ceiling will push you into that block and start suffocating/teleport you up.

Swimming/Crawling 'cursor' targets 1 block above
While swimming/crawling in 1 block-high spaces, attempting to place blocks or interact with blocks at player's eye level (leg level) will instead interact with blocks above it (eye level when standing).
Looking straight down (toward
y) and digging/interacting while swimming will manipulate the block to xor z-coordinates.
Pretty positive this happens on win10 platform as well.

Expected Results: Interact with a block that the cursor is on/.
Observed Results: Pillager patrols spawn at any light level ([on normal and hard difficulty, according to the wiki|https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Pillager]), and since the 1.13 update they spawn very frequently. This means that villages, trading halls, and farms must be watched almost constantly to be kept running safely. Moreover, directly killing the patrol captain initiates a raid, which can spawn almost anywhere in the villager-based build and is far more dangerous than a patrol.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Build a village or villager-based farm.
- Secure it as best you can with light and walls.
- Work on something else within the spawn radius for a while–or just travel across the spawn radius on you way to another place.
- Come back to the build and find the patrol that killed some villagers.
- Kill the patrol to save your remaining villagers and then you will immediately face 5-7 waves of raid in your villager-based build.

I posted a video on this issue: MCPE-57257
Same problem, you can't place blocks, interact with anything that the cursor is looking at (trap doors, repeaters, levers, buttons), etc. and attempting to break the block that you're looking at breaks the block over your head.
I know it's not Java and we don't have 1-high tunnels as a fully functional mechanic, but until 1.13.0 we could at least make this work and turn it into a kind of 'feature'.

Can't reproduce using Windows 10. The bug only seems to occur for mobile devices. https://streamable.com/fx2lc
Cannot reproduce with controller, and touch with split controls, though it was replicated by the normal control scheme with touch.
Also skylord_wars, did you use a Windows 10 with touchscreen support?
I can't reproduce using Minecraft for Windows 10. The video I uploaded was a video recorded on an Android device.
Here is my original bug report:
I was trying to exit my secret base by swimming into a 1x1x1 air gap and when I tap the trapdoor, the trapdoor didn't open nor close. Instead, I am able to break blocks outside of the trapdoor. That would make my secret door essentially unusable.
What I expected to happen was...:
The trapdoor should respond when I tap by closing or opening.
What actually happened was...:
Instead, it did not respond. But I am able to break blocks outside of the trapdoor. This works with an iron trapdoor.
Steps to Reproduce:
Evidence: https://streamable.com/fx2lc
This bug is only present if "Split Controls" is toggled off. As a result, it should primarily affect mobile devices.
Yes buy my height not 1 block the game You read that as 2 block height as the As an normal player not as swimming player
This bug also occurs when crouching, but to a much lesser extent. I attached a video, (FullSizeRender.mov,) that shows this misalignment.
The issue seems to stem from the game assuming the player is always stood fully up and not taking other positions like swimming, flying, crouching, crawling, etc. into account to align correctly.
I am on an iPad Pro 12.9” on iPadOS 13.4 running Minecraft 1.14.30.

Well! Finally a bug that was actually fixed! That’s 1 of 7 bugs. Nice.
As of at least 1.17.11 it is fixed!
