Zombie infecting a villager sound plays from too far away. I expected it to be like the same maximum distance for a villager death sound, but it plays from even 20 blocks.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Spawn a villager encased in blocks (with a bit of room to move)
- Spawn a zombie next to the villager
- Move yourself ~20 blocks away from both entities
Expected Result:
The infection sound would either not play at all or would be quieter because of how far the player is.
Observed Behavior:
The sound plays at full volume for the player.

The sound of ringing bells does not diminish in volume as you move farther away; instead, they simply cease playing once you're far enough away.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Place down a bell
- Repeatedly power it (can use a simple observer clock)
- Continue to move away from the bell
Expected Result:
The sound would diminish in volume as the player moves away, and then stop playing once the player is far enough away.
Observed Behavior:
The bell stays a consistent volume, and abruptly cuts off once you are out of range.

This is most likely intended.
Use the horn to play a loud sound that can be heard from afar - 22w17a changelog
Realtes to
MC-250949I can confirm this behavior, though the changelog specifically stated this as seen above in the comment by Eometheous.
I don't think thats "can be heard from afar" is a more then million blocks.
You'd expect that the sound would fade after moving away from a certain high distance, but not to keep playing from an unreasonable amount of blocks away the source.
I recomment going to the feedback page of minecraft instead. They added this feature on purpose.
This is rather a bug than intentional.
@Jolan van Hoof and @Caledonite Mojang have given this bug report a Mojang Prioroty, which means that they consider it a bug.
Relates to MC-57057 and MC-249410.
