I got stuck in this as well. The problem appears to be that you can glitch through the barrier (second picture attachment) without collecting the Tome to drop the grate. It's possible to Travel to the second stage of this map by this method without having collected the Tome from the first stage. Without the Tome the final door will not open.
In my game it was on PS4 in a two player internet multi-player game.
Either move the travel portal further from the grate so that the travel hit box does not reach outside the grate, or reduce the hit box size.
I had a similar issue on Win10, but I clicked the button, killed the m I notes, and collected the loot. The door just never opened.
Ran into same issue on Windows 10 ver.
I can confirm this on Nintendo Switch.
I have this issue on Xbox One.
Ditto - you don't even have to 'glitch' through the end gate in the crypt, you just hit A to exit. Then if you've exited the crypt without getting the tome, you're hosed because you can't exit at the end and you can't get back in the crypt.
Worse, the direction markers are pointing you at the exit and not the tome, so if you just follow those (mea culpa) you'll hit this. Win10 for me, though it looks like it affects everything.
My experience was everything Paul Henry said. Ps4, multiplayer online, glitched through gate without Tomb, just one player made a move forward to kill mobs, glitched through, it pulled aka teleported the 2nd player through at that moment. Could not finish level .
I just came across this issue in offline mode. Was attacking and accidentally went through. Also PS4
Another Windows 10 user
While exploring the objective marker will switch between the locked exit and farther into the tomb. You are able to just walk up to the locked exit gate and press A (using controller) to reach the endzone.
UPDATE: To anyone currently stuck, if possible connect a second controller with a spare hero, then travel between the tomb and the endzone with your main hero. You should be able to glitch your main back inside the gate and continue on.
Yeah this also happened to me but on Nintendo Switch. It definitely affects all platforms and lures you in. I had to re-beat the level.
You need to find the lost tome before you can finish the level. If you look in the top right it tells you that. A pop up saying you can't leave without it would be helpful though.

The ending area doesn't connect to the main entrance
My son did this on xbox when I played with him but he just quit out before I could try anything.
You can glitch the door (the fence is up) and go outside then we were unable to come in again (only one player can come in when in 2 players game) wandering the land outside...
same happened to me and, as I asked my peers, I got some comments about this as well. Very annoying to have to restart after I almost finished the level.
This will be fixed in version 1.2.0.0.
