Mobs Get Stuck In Their Pathing and constantly try and jump over slabs
Mobs will try and path to somewhere they can't go and will continue to try and get there. I've noticed in three separate spots in my world and two of them involve half slabs, one cobble, the other dark oak. The other spot is my horse pen which is made with dark oak fences.
Here are gifs of the problem if these are allowed.

With 1.13 an issue was fixed were mobs attempted to pathfind over 1.5 blocks high walls. MCPE-45256 But it hasn't fully been fixed. It still affects walls that are lower than 2 blocks and higher than 1.5 blocks.
How to reproduce:
- Place a full block like for example stone.
- Place a not one block high block that is not a slab above it. For example soul sand or an enchantment table or a bed.
- Try to lure a mob over the wall. For example lure a cow by holding wheat in your hand or just wait until it tries to do that itself.
What I observed: The mob infinitely tries to jump over the wall.
What I expected: The mob doesn't try to pathfind over the wall.
It does not work with 4 to 7 or more snow layers at one block, because all of them have a 0.5 blocks high collision box. (See MCPE-60024)
Added a video, which shows
- The blaze stays still about 7 seconds after spawning before it starts jumping.
- When jumping blazes stay within a single block.
Both of these points suggest that this behavior relates to pathfinding. The jumping probably starts when the blaze begins trying to pathfind. The jumping is like MCPE-45256 and MCPE-60160 where mobs jump repeatedly when trying to pathfind to a block they cannot reach.
also it affects & takes up cpu which heats my device and make laggy...
Is this still an issue ion the latest versions?
This is still an issue in 1.12.0.
This bug should be fixed in the latest beta version, and the fix will be included in a future update when that is ready for full release (no specific date can be given). We will leave this ticket open as a point of reference until the fix has been fully released.
(We are still working on a related pathfinding issue at
MCPE-49607.)You can see this bug in action, along with how to reproduce here:

In 1.13 this issue was fixed, but currently it affects walls with a full block like stone and a non full block like soul sand so this hasn't fully been fixed, so I think I have to create a new bug report, so I'll do it.
I created a bug report for this:
