Poor surround sound & background noise with Razer headsets
Per this comment you may be able to resolve sound issues with Razer audio devices by unchecking the "Enable audio enhancements" option in your device's speaker properties. Some users also report that toggling the spatial sound option improves surround sound issues.

Sound broken with THX spatial audio
When using THX spatial audio on my Razer Nari headphones the audio is broken sounding. switching the feature off doesn't fix it. the only way to fix it is to switch the sound output device to the normal mode instead of spatial audio. (a bit of a hassle in window 10)

Does MCPE-50616 describe your issue?
Hi user-de68b,
Can you please provide more information about the hardware and software? For example the Audio device that is causing this behaviour. Without these details, we might not be able to find a cause of this issue. A Dxdiag.txt can also be helpfull as a lot of information is packed in such file.
Think about things like motherboard, cpu, audio solution (device), brand/ model and driver versions.
Does MCPE-50616 possibly describe your issue? Note this is specific to Razor headsets.
Thank you in advance.
This ticket will automatically reopen when you reply.
You can try the workaround in the description of MCPE-50616 and see if that helps.

This also happens to me on Razer Kraken (2019) with Razer's 7.1 Surround Sound enabled. (Works fine I use the default system drivers though)
Same for me (I've got a Razer Kraken X with the 7.1 Surround Sound)
I'm not sure what "broken sounding" might mean, but I have had some issues with sound distortion. In my case, they seem related to a separate problem, described in
MCPE-49613, in which sound volume is very dependent on the angle between the sound source and the player's line of sight. Do you also have that experience? If so, I propose to merge these issues.I'm experiencing the same issues with my Razer Nari. The music is like weird creepy static that's distant. Someone shared a video of the sound glitch that I'm experiencing. https://youtu.be/GmCfjWaKCCY
Disabling "Enable Audio enchantments" under the speaker properties of the THX Spatial sound device fixes the issue but that stops extra signal processing. So maybe and issue with Razer or Windows? The "broken sounding" is audio being sort of corrupt. I also apologise for the late replying I wasn't getting email notifications. Auldrick
Updated title and confirmed (community consensus) based on duplicate reports describing the same symptoms.
Followed the steps to complete removely Razer Synapse (delete folder in Program Files and keys in Registery Editor), reinstalled, and still having issues with Minecraft (Windows 10 edition) specifically. Using Kraken X (aux cord) with 7.1 surround app. Only having static when playing that game, perfectly fine with any other application. Audio sounds like it is muffled, very static-y.
Thank you for your report!
However, this issue has been temporarily closed as Awaiting Response
Is this still an issue in the latest version? If so, can you please add it to the affected versions (or mention it if you are not the reporter).

Issue is still present in the latest update, I have updated the issue to reflect that.
Steps to reproduce
Observed Results:
Every sound is replaced with a corrupted/static sounding versions
Expected Results:
Sounds playing normally
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Turning Enhanced Signal Off
Observed Results:
Fixed issue with static audio.
Expected Results:
Surround Capabilities for this game?
other games have no issue with these drivers regardless of surround or stereo input
Same problem here with Razer Nari Ultimate. No idea what to do because I didn't change anything and I'm not using that Spatial Audio garbage.
I also have the same problem with Razer Nari Ultimate. Sound is very intermittent and noisy if using spatial audio - only experience the issue with Bedrock edition works normally with Java
Same problem and only in Minecraft. Disabling audio enhancements in settings fixed it for me as well though.
Using a Razer Kraken Ultimate and setting the audio output to the Razer Kraken Ultimate device fixes the problem until game is restarted. The surround sound/spatial audio works while using Razer Kraken Ultimate as output (tested with audio quality set to "16 bit, 48000 Hz (DVD Quality)").
Still needs fixing for all devices though, since the one I use is tedious and temporary.
Same problem here. Every other game are perfectly fine. Sounds awesome, except Minecraft.
Same as Laszlo, I think this issue applies to some older Logitech headsets too. Suffering here with a G430.
Reply from [Mod] GoldenHelmet: for Logitech headsets see
MCPE-16588.how did some of you fix it?
im using razer kraken ulitmate
everything is fine including minecraft java but bedrock is static and hight pitched
The only thing that I found fixed this issue with my Razer Kraken (I tried multiple youtube tutorials, no help) was to uninstall all Razer software, but obviously this is not a great fix, not being able to use software that we paid for, so I hope a real fix comes soon.
By the looks of things, minecraft bedrock does not support razer's surround sound, so if you want to play minecraft bedrock, it will need to be without surround sound, and just turning it off doesn't work so you will need to set the deafult sound output for minecraft straight to your headset, without the surround sound.
It's the only way i found to fix the problem, but making the game compatible with surround sound would be amazing
Hi to anyone who still has this issue I found a way to fix it.
Just follow these methods and check if it works for you
Settings > Sound > Razer Headphones (what peripheral you use) > click (>) or properties > find audio enhancement > turn it off.
Audio does sound weird. I'll hit someone and if I turn around or something randomly the hot sound fades away and sounds randomly fade in and out
For users searching these threads with audio distortion and no specific headphones. I had spatial sound set to "Windows Sonic for Headphones" turned on. This affected my server and local play.
Turning off Spatial Soiund returned the sound to normal.
So I had some weird audio spotting (I'm having difficulty trying to explain exactly how it sounded but it was kinda crackly and poppy but spotty and inconsistent nonetheless) and deduced it was something to do with my audio driver (realtek audio). Uninstalling and reinstalling the driver did nothing, and my get-around for the audio issue was to instead use some bluetooth speakers. However, after coming across this thread and reading the comments about Windows Spatial Sound, all I had to do was toggle the option (it was originally off for me) and it resolved my audio issues.
Don't know if it'll help anyone's issues or not, but it helped me.
