Behind the painting, the plank texture is outdated with pixels from the Classic Textures resource pack. To see this, you must give yourself a barrier block, place the painting on the barrier block and go behind the painting.

Resolved this as this is not a bug. Seems like the plank textures for paintings aren't related to the outdated textures of the new default texture since this is not a bug.
I'm not gonna even create a Java counterpart of this issue.

Crying obsidian is covered in MCPE-87419. Painting back texture using new planks textures seems related to the fix of MCPE-50952.
This isn't a bug, Jasper just didn't change that texture.
You have to say even though it's not a bug that's some nice attention to detail...
Yea, I reported this same thing, but with a file attached with a new texture to it that I made.
