Seems to be the same issue WEB-7272 (but I did not know that)... (because nothing works...)
Minecraft Laucher does not launch minecraft, it shows error:
Error Code: 0x80004005 code: Eroded Badlands. A file that the Windows Product Activation (WPA) requires is damaged or missing. Please reboot, verify system permissions, and make sure your operating system is up-to-date. For more information, go HERE or contact Customer Support directly.
Then error messages disappears very quickly, then I am asked for a microsoft login, and when I click on it nothing works. I am also forwarded to a help page like this:
https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/notfound
and the "Minecraft Help Center" does not response at all (I enter something, no response), and on the general page https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/search?query=login when I search for "login" I get zero results.

This is a bug with MCPE, not BDS, so please mark your bugs correctly. Also, this is because of an Xbox LIVE outage, so this is not a Minecraft bug. As of writing this, the outage has not been fixed, but it will most likely be fixed within 2-8 hours.

Issues such as this are often due to a temporary service outage. For more updates on the issue you might like to keep an eye on the Mojang Status handle updates:
When attempting to log in, while it may appear you're on the same login page at Minecraft.net, in actuality the following query string is added:
When clicking login again, it adds the same query string again. In the query string you can see an error description, but it's quite vague. Additionally, sisu.xboxlive.com returns 503.

Hi pyrex. There's no ETA I'm aware of but keep watching this bug report as I'll update it with the latest information.
Mojang Status page, which only mentions Xbox Live. However, I run Minecraft on Linux Mint 20.3. The launcher on startup immediately shows a page with my account name marked with an 'x'. When I try to log in with my Microsoft account it shows a login page. After entering my account name and password it shows an error page starting with "Eroded badlands". This behavior started some time after 2nd July 2024 17:00 CEST.
The error message for Eroded Badlands says
If this is caused by an outage, this message is inaccurate and misleading. It should say, as is said here, that there is a temporary service outage.
Additionally, the two links in the popup redirect to 404 pages. That should be fixed as well.
Lastly, a service outage should not affect the ability to play offline, so that should be fixed too.
Logging in on aka.ms/remoteconnect says it was unable to connect to sisu.xboxlive.com.
In-game I get the drowned error code.
Got drowned error. When I click “More Info” or whatever that button is, it leads to a blank page comparable to “about:blank”
BTW I’m on Bedrock
The priory may have to be blocker status, because many people can’t play Minecraft: Java Edition right now.
currently if you own bedrock edition you can still play the bedrock edition because it doesn't have to run from the launcher
