I've been looking around the new Nether and have noticed that
even thoughbiomescanvary by height, theydon't. The game makes 0 attempts to do this.I've been looking around the new Nether since 20w06a and have noticed that biomes don't vary by height, even though they can . I wonder why?
i will fight the bot for attention, so i can find the answer to my question
Nether biomesdon't vary by height, even if they canNether biomes can't vary by height
Nether biomes can't vary by height, so the new cave biomes won't work

The bug
Passive animals prefer to move to the east in their pathfinding AI. The Minecraft wiki says they move aimlessly, however, their east bias seems to say otherwise. Pigs go east the most, while sheep, sometimes. Cows, like sheep, go east on occasion, but chickens work how all mobs should while idle.

The bug
Passive mobs like to go towards fence gates. You see, they seek freedom from their pens, and think that a closed fence gate is an exit, when really, it's not. Their pathfinding tells them that they want to go somewhere out side their pen, but there's a fence in the way. So what do they do? Go towards their fence gate, and then stopping there because it's closed.

This arrow has problems.

My arrow is stuck in a bubble column. This is bad. Now I have lost an arrow. This bug was indeed caused by the fix for
MC-125758. I wanted my arrow back, but that's no longer possible.
Villagers can'tcraftbreadanymoreVillagers can't pass bread to other villagers
Back in 1.8, villagers were given the ability to harvest and plant crops, as well as sharing food. This feature remains today, but it seems that they have forgotten the recipe for bread. In 1.8, they would harvest wheat, and when sharing with othervillagers, would craft the wheat into bread so that they could breed. This bug has been around since 1.14 but no one has noticed it until now.It seems that villagers can't give bread to their friends. In the past, I have tried making a few infinite bread farms powered by villagers but they never seem to give away their bread. Even if the conditions are met, the villagers with bread only seem to rarely pass bread around, and that only happens if they are in a "real" village. Other crops can be farmed infinitely, so what happened to wheat?

Compound mobs have bad collision physics that causes them to suffocate their riders. This is because the mob on the bottom affects all the collision, meaning technically all the mobs on top loose their block collision. They become "not solid" to the world.

So, I don't think anyone else is crazy enough to capture a Ravager in survival, but I did! I noticed the next time I logged in that he was facing north and not turning, as if he lost his AI. My other convicts turn and occasionally move around in what little space they have, but the Ravager stays completely still, as if he had no soul inhabiting his body. Just staring off, into the distance.

1. Build a 2x3x2 cage out of iron bars, with a roof made out of any solid block.
2. Spawn a ravager inside the cage.
3. Relog. Make sure you are on the outside of the cage.
4. Observe the ravager.
When an Illusioner gets attacked, it retaliates like most mobs. However, unlike most mobs, they don't stop retaliating when their target dies, meaning they shoot arrows forever, which is kind of weird, but also really funny.
Note: Some Illusioners do not suffer from this illness.
Note: It seems that they only show this strange behavior if called for help by another Illusioner.
If you disconnect Bluetooth headphones from your computer, Minecraft doesn't make any sound, unless you close it then reopen it
Exactly as the summary says. Minecraft doesn't update it's audio output if you connect bluetooth headphones to your computer. If you connect bluetooth headphones to your computer, Minecraft will still play its sounds out of your speakers. If you disconnect them, Minecraft will be completely muted. This issue can be easily fixed by closing out Minecraft and then reopening it, but that's an inconvenience, especially for players who have to wait 10 minutes to load the launcher.

This most likely is caused my the elder guardian hitbox being slightly smaller than the Elder Guardian itself, and also, because the hitbox doesn't rotate along the Y-axis.

Once again, all in the summary.
Once again, all in the summary. When mobs come close to them, pufferfish will inflate as a defense. They do not inflate when aquatic mobs come close, however. The reason why they don't defend themselves from a wild axolotl attack is because axolotls are classified as aquatic mobs. I recommend a tag called scares_pufferfish containing all mobs that pufferfish will defend themselves from.

Axolotlsdon'tgive death messages to their ownerAxolotls aren't actually tameable
If you kill your axolotl(which, why would you do that, you monster?) it doesn't display a death message. This is likely due to the fact that they actually cannot be tamed.
According to the post on Minecraft.net, the patch notes, the Minecraft Wiki, and every Minecraft player, axolotls are tamed by putting them in a bucket. However, they don't actually become tamed. They don't follow you around, sit when you press the use(defaults to right click on most mice) button, or even have any NBT data that is shared with other tamable mobs. On top of all this, if you're stupid or heartless enough to kill these adorable creatures, they display no death message no matter how you spawned them.

Bobby N., in that case, please create a new bug report.
Bobby N. Stop adding affected versions. This was closed because it is a feature request.
Can confirm this for 20w51a.
Bobby N., please don't add unrelated comments to reports.
Bobby N. is this fixed for you as well?
Bobby N. The "many things are wrong" you are referring to are very vague and probably one or a combination of much older, known bugs (MC-140727, MC-149057, MC-149573). As MMK21 said, the current seed and coordinates do not point to a savanna village in 1.18.2, which leads me to believe that this is probably an upgraded world, in which case it could be a separate bug. However, it could also be that this is an outdated or modded version, hence why I asked the reporter to attach a screenshot with the F3 screen enabled.
Bobby N.: Given that many people cannot reproduce the behavior you describe, please confirm that this is still a problem in the latest release.
For this, please record a video of this happening while the F3 debug screen is enabled and attach it to this report.
If you are on Windows, you can use Windows+Alt+R to open a built-in app for recording game footage.
In case the resulting video file is too large to be uploaded to the bug tracker directly, please upload it elsewhere (e.g. as unlisted video on YouTube) and link to it here.
This ticket will automatically reopen when you reply.

I don't know how to make one.
Sorry.
What? This isn't a duplicate, it's a completely different issue. Eye level has nothing to do with swimming while sitting, however, this bug might be a side effect of the other one.
My world was corrupted a while after I took these pictures. Sorry.
Confirmed since 0.24 Survival Test
I found out how to do it! (IMPORTANT NOTE: I use the arrow keys to move!)
You don't go faster until you get to an air block.
I reported it first!
WHY IS EVERY BUG I REPORT A DUPLICATE
Piglins still do this in 20w30a. Reopen this bug!
To counter this bug, you can always enchant the item with Mending. Also confirmed for 1.16.2 pre-1
Notice how the pigs are crowding near the east side of the stable
I don't know how to make a video on my PC.
No, my villagers pick up wheat naturally and stack it appropriately, so I don't think that
MC-198474is applicable.I have a 64 bit OS, and my account is monitored by my parents using Windows Family. I found no crash report and launcherlog.txt is too big to fit in one comment. I also don't know how to attach files to a comment.
Also, I think this bug has existed since the loading screen changed from a percentage to that square the fills up with white, green, and blue pixels.
villagers... can't... attack...
i can confirm for silverfish
hmm. i found it in 1.16.4.
it is a normal cave.
But I don't have blindness in these pictures.
confirmed in 20w46a. i think this was caused by the fix for
MC-143736This bug has returned in 20w46a!
i'm looking
No, it happened when I left the village boundary and came back.
oh wait... it is
im confused on why this is invalid
if this bug isn't fixed, the cave biomes won't work
it is?
This has been around since /locate was added, as well.
it was fixed. when? idk
Something to note: my parents blocked youtube, so I can't upload videos to it.
they now just sink
Yeah, you used a default world. I was in a superflat.
No, you have to give them a push.
The bug that this "duplicates" has two problems:
1. It's extremely vague and undescriptive.
2. It has nothing to do with this one, and only mentions the giant.
yes. it does. i used the search feature and didn't find it
Iron ore only gives 0.7 XP points. The way that works is if you smelt one, there's a 70% chance to get 1 point.
This comments section is like the Flat Earth Society.
i have none. please delete this bug
sorry. i try searching but it's really hard
confirmed for 20w49a. i have a castle made of copper, and i hate going near it, because it lags so hard.
hmmm
yes
the bug here is made out of duplicate
i didn't find the other one. probably because it's so old
i need you to check out my other reports
thank you
I swear to report every bug about these beautiful creatures!
Very well then.
This seems like an issue for technical support.
Your hunger bar is full. That's why you can't eat it.
Do you have any armor with Mending? That enchantment absorbs xp.
I can confirm. The salmon in my river do this all the time.
This is a little something we redstone engineers call quasi-connectivity.
You guys ever heard of something called despawning?
Use a cat.
Try turning off friendly fire on the team rules.
Maybe being in water is one of their spawning conditions.
This affects ALL mobs.
Compasses point towards your world spawn, not north.
Duplicates MC-176559.
I have opened my world in every snapshot of 1.17, and optimized it today. The most recent patrol in my world spawned inside the ground, after I optimized it.
This bug allowed me to fill a double chest with amethyst shards in less than 5 minutes. It's insane.
This is what really happens:
1. Trader Llamas retaliate against anything that attacks what they are leashed to.
2. They continuously retaliate if they are on a lead.
3. They won't stop unless they die, lose their target if you reload the world, or are given a new target.
Does it only work for me?
I cannot upload the file. I don't know what to do. It's 1,300MB, and this bug tracker's limit is 10MB. I can't seem to find anywhere to upload it.
https://www.mediafire.com/file/rt90nri13rwhq9m/i+must+live.zip/file
Here it is.
Sorry if anything is corrupted.
Thank you for the attention.
So you expect the fire to be in the same block as the grass, making the grass "firelogged"?
This is intentional. They have an NBT tag call DarkTicksRemaining which controls this.
yes it does
They cannot see villagers through glass.
when do the mods come
confirmed in 21w03a. doesn't affect glow squids. probably because their code was copied from
normal squids
I am using a resource pack to display it, yes.
Why does their mane fall down during zombification?
It doesn't work unless you dye the sign.
does this mean copper will be renewable?
It's because elder guardians aren't in the axolotl_tempted_hostiles tag.
This isn't a duplicate, it's a clone!
Yup.
Affects fossils too
I personally think this looks good, but that's just an opinion.
@bugsbugsbugs
gg.
@violine1101 I don't think you would encounter this in normal gameplay, but it's weird that they have this unused face that a texture can be applied to.
The simple fix for all these bugs relating to geode generation is to just make geodes have the same generation conditions as dungeons. Dungeons generate perfectly fine almost all the time.
Default world. Seed: -8610962999447939582 Cords:-206.13 77.86 -99.16. Look down. You will see these weird holes below you that generated for no reason.
On the same world at 182.47 97.34 -327.08, you will see a mountain with big holes in it as well.
Based on my findings, caves don't generate in superflat worlds.
I feel like it probably is, but from my testing, it only happens if the "Pause on lost focus" setting is on.
I just realized that when this happened, I had protection on my armor. You know, the Protection enchantment, which reduces ALL types of damage.
It's a frame perfect bug.
It doesn't happen for me. I think they fixed it.
that's the idea. it's a joke
No no no... you don't get it.
I mean in single biome worlds where you choose lush caves as the biome.
The lush caves still exist as a biome, but if you make a single biome world with the lush caves biome selected the F3 menu says you're in an ocean.
They only oxidize if you're actively in your world. When you leave the world, it pauses everything in it.
Does this happen in bedrock edition? I don't have bedrock so someone else needs to test it.
I'm pretty sure this name is stored in level.dat, not the NBT data of the entity.
Can this be reopened? Moderators aren't Mojang @Neko.
There is wheat growing in that house. Just look for a savanna village and you'll see that many things are wrong.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6g9SAF0jRI
Perfect example for those who still won't fix this.
It seems to happen because frogs have a unique walking animation.
If this gets fixed, please make shriekers obtainable in survival. Otherwise, you'd have to capture a warden. That's insane.
This seems to be because allays store their inventories as a local variable rather than as NBT data. Doing /data on an allay with items inside versus that same allay while empty shows no difference in the result of the command.
I have this issue too. Upon logging into my survival world from 22w16b in 22w18a, my goat that was kept captive in a boat has lost its horns, despite never ramming anything.
Then this is a duplicate @ampolive
I have this issue too
With the setup in the pictures recently added, the farmer does grow and harvest wheat at a steady pace. This automated crop farm works by getting one villager to farm crops and attempt to pass the food to its friend so they can make babies. A pair of hopper minecarts trapped between trapdoors is placed on top of a hopper to intersect the items and transfer them to a separate container, such as a chest. Beetroots, carrots, and potatoes make it to the chest successfully, but wheat does not. Using /data shows that the farmer is crafting the wheat into bread, but it is refusing to give it to the other villager. In one of the screenshots, the glass is replaced with barriers for additional clarity.
This is still an issue in 1.19.3. For context, this was reported 7 years ago.
