Spiders and cave spiders don't get effected by poison.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Summon a normal/cave spider (no matter how)
2) Try applying to him the poison effect potion, /effect, lingering potion.
3) The spider's health doesn't low, if used with a lingering potion, he won't "sink" it.The spider is seeming like not having the option of being poisoned at all, or completely ignoring the effect.
Update: in 1.9.1 Pre-3 they do "sink" the lingering potion, makes it even worse.

You should try F3+t when this happens, and share the results.

MalbaCato in case you are referring to a forced crash, it is F3 + C for 10 seconds. But the crash report will very likely not show anything relevant.
Tested in 16w40a:
When you summon a vex with empty hands, it has a sword and it's not removed when you quit and re-enter the world.
When you summon a zombie/skeleton with empty hands/armor using a spawn egg, their items/armor are removed when you re-enter the world.
So, MC-107494 and the bug described by tatsu and MalbaCato (which is MC-87661) are different bugs, and MC-107494 should be marked as fixed.

Basically it's a great way to hide your bow in PvP.
And you forgot to mention that you need to press "F5"
+ You are using a modded client, this bugtracer is for vanilla minecraft.
Confirmed in 1.9.4
Probably this is because in 1.9, they lowered a lot of mobs (including the horse). As far as I know, jump is calculated using the hitbox hight and eye level, and some other parameters. So you can expect it to stay changed until the next calculation/hitbox update, which cannot be done in 1.9.x because of server-client compatibility. Luckily for you, Mojang announced that the first snapshot of 1.10 is going to be released soon.
This is surly not a bug, it doesn't matter how the mob gets damaged, it can be a player, another mob, status effect, fire, fall damage, anvil, etc'.
1: Very unclear, try describing more "carefully" or make a video.
2: I don't know would it help or not, but try generating a crash report (by holding F3+C for more then 10 seconds) and post it here.
Similar things are also sometimes happening to me with bows and food, but only in the off hand.
Confirmed for 1.10.2, also happens while sprint-flying in creative and sometimes by the piston translocation bug (which teleports the player back and forth up to six times (writing in the console the player is moving too fast every teleport)).
Before I changed the gamerule disableElytraMovementCheck to true, I gave me a punch 15 bow and whenever I shot myself with it, (after the moved too fast message) from the client perspective I stopped and teleported 10-15 blocks down, but for the server (and any other players), I didn't. So any arrow I shot appeared up there and a little in-front (to the direction I was flying when teleported), mobs tracked me to there, and after I landed (from the view of the client) I was still in flight mode 15 sec. or so, waiting for the actual me to land. After he did, even If I was looking straight down, I didn't took any damage from the landing, and any other players could see me landing and immediately teleport to the client location (I even saw a creeper who tracked me flying and after the server me landed, just stopped and started wondering about (like creepers that don't see a player in survival/adventure do)).
Confirmed for 1.10.2 I was cloning something with pistons on my server and I kept getting it wrong, so I decided to build it by hand, but then in one of the blocks there wasn't air although every player hadn't saw there anything, and right clicking, F3+a, the looking at part in the debug menu, relogging didn't help, only /setblock ~ ~ ~ air. I know I could use /testforblock to check what block it was and give more information, sorry.
@Galaxy_2Alex it is for you.

Marcono1234 I said what I meant, F3+t is for reloading all recourse-packs, including the default. The game sometimes picks the wrong texture/sound when the client is overloaded.
Not sure if it's the same bug, doesn't really matter I guess.
Also happens to background music.
I understand almost nothing in things like this, but it seems that there is not enough RAM, try reducing the JVM arguments of -Xmx | and -Xms | to 2GB .
The refresh button? Try using it, or check your internet connection.
Is it possible that you are using the windows 10 version of minecraft?
Just wondering.
Are you sure you have bought the game from the official mojang site, logged in correctly, in the official launcher?
If so, try adding a crash report as Arisa described above.
If you still want a refund go to https://help.mojang.com/customer/portal/emails/new
@Neko,
As far as I understand, it is not a duplicate, maybe related, reopen.
Also, how do you make someones name clickable in a comment?
They can be, if the bottle isn't thrown directly at them, they won't teleport.
Endermen only teleport if a projectile is flying directly into them, that's what the code checks.
Cannot reproduce.
In 1.11, from the server perspective (tested with /entitydata @e[type=vex] {} ):
- with a sword.
/summon vex ~ ~ ~ {HandItems:[0:{},1:{}]}- without a sword.
/entitydata @e[type=vex] {HandItems:[0:{},1:{}]}- empties the hands.
- empties the hand.
/give @p minecraft:spawn_egg 1 0 {EntityTag:{id:"minecraft:vex",HandItems:[0:{},1:{}]}}- when used, spawns a vex without a sword.
However, from the client side, the egg spawns a vex with a sword.
Quitting the world and reentering - fixes the graphic glitch.
First, can someone update the description and affected versions to 1.11?
Second, SunCat, you should test bugs in the latest version, (I believe that what being a helper means).
Also, the bug I described has nothing to do with https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-87661, which is a server side bug, (though it can be opened as a separated one if needed and hasn't already, then we can mark https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-107494 as fixed and related).
Ok, got you!
Just let us know what will happen with the client bug, not now - when you will decide.
Enoch Fox No, the Spawn Protection area is a sphere centred at the world-spawn, but it doesn't matter, because the bug still exists in vanilla.
Click this image if the other one doesn't load.
Timothy Miller - Every bug is a bug and it should be fixed, (unless [Mojang] Jeb (Jens Bergensten) says its a won't fix), it doesn't matter how important or hard it is to fix.The more game-breaking ones are of course prioritised (like
MC-111645), but for most issues the votes count is the way to sort them.About the resolution of the bug itself - it's a little more complicated then that, go watch Panda's video if you haven't.
sorry for the unnecessary bug updates, the syntaxes never work the first time
Timothy Miller About "Fix Version/s", it is updated only when the version (in which the bug is fixed) is finished and ready to release as a public snapshot.
The only way for us to know ahead of time is the "Assignee" field. That is the way I understand the info in the top.
Still in 1.12.1
Here -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcUHJfAnrcI
(The bug in the description of that video was resolved as a duplicate to this one, but it wasn't reopened)
So is there another ticket already?
Please change MC125252 to
MC-125252so that they actually link to the issues. Can we change the name to exclude the unhelpful 1.5 in there? Thanks!
Currently can't reproduce, but it may need further testing. This big is somewhat random and sometimes it just doesn't occur. I also updated the OS since then so it also may have some affect, and might still be present for others.
TL;DR "cannot reproduce" not "fixed"
Was able to reproduce in the current version
I updated affected versions, please reopen.
(Also of course that was done on the latest OS)
Can we rename the issue to be more descriptive please?
I'm sure that counting something that was implemented more than 4 years ago as new is on the more confusing side of things.
Confirmed for 18w33a
WEB-1839that got resolved as a duplicate of this had one detail that is missing from fabian's report - it claimed "Host your own server" should be unticked in the Windows 10 column. While IIRC the the possibility to self host does indeed exist on Win10, I'm not going to install the OS just to test that, and will just point out the bit of information lost by that duplicate closure.
this is not suited for the bugtracker, but as I assume this ticket is going to attract many of these questions, answer is go to https://adoptopenjdk.net and follow some simple installation prompts, make sure to download java version 16.
