Auto-jump does not jump although jumping is possible
In this video, you can see this bug in action.
The bug
The game does not realize that the player is able to jump (and therefore auto-jump does not trigger) if the block above the block in front of the player is
- an at least three layers high snow layer (seven layers if you're standing on a slab)
- an open trapdoor
- a door
- a fence
- a closed fence gate
- a ladder
- a glass pane
- iron bars
- a head
- a chest or
- a cactus
- end rod
- flower pot
- a wall
- cocoa beans
- chorus plant
- conduit
- a bottom slab
even though it is possible to jump onto that block.
Original description
(most of this has been fixed in 1.10pre2)
Auto-Jump does not work if there is a snow layer (or a trapdoor (open/closed), a closed fence gate, a door, a repeater or a comparator) on the block
When I enable Auto-Jump and walk on to a block that has one layer of snow (or a trapdoor (open/closed), a closed fence gate, a door, a repeater or a comparator) on it I expected it to auto-jump for me because you can jump on a block with one layer of snow (or a trapdoor (open/closed), a closed fence gate, a door, a repeater or a comparator) on it.
It didn't jump automatically. It was just like when you have Auto-Jump disabled.
1. Enable Auto-Jump
2. Place down a block
3. Put a layer of snow (or a trapdoor (open/closed), a closed fence gate, a door, a repeater or a comparator) on the block
4. Walk on to the block

From my understanding, the issue they are pointing out is that the player cannot auto-jump onto the blocks that are supporting the door.
If so, this issue is already tracked in MC-102043

I think there's an argument to be made that the auto-jump should not jump in this case, since players with auto-jump off don't need to jump to get on top of the block. However, since everything else is bundled into MC-102043, I agree with the duplicate resolution.
Edit: oh wait, I didn't read the description properly, this is a separate case from I was thinking about, auto-jump should definitely work there. However, I am not able to reproduce this with the provided reproduction steps.

Dupe of
MC-102074But I submitted it first.
Fixed the linking.
There should be added information about carpets. Also it doesn't work with trapdoors (open/closed), closed fence gates, doors, repeaters and comparators.
I've noticed autojump doesn't work in lava or water. It's possible it's intended, but once the player is in either, it starts bouncing if you're near a block that would get you out of either liquid, almost like it's fighting to work.
also happens with ladders, carpets and heads.
In my opinion, auto-jump should make you jump if you can manually do it. In this case, I think it should work with both carpets and snow because you can make that jump yourself.
@Tenlic1, I think thats the point
still in Minecraft 1.10 pre 1
Since 1.10 pre-2 isn't showing up in my launcher, is the issue where Auto-Jump wasn't not working in lava and water still occurring? (It would bounce up like it was fighting to work, last time I checked).
Still in 1.12.1
It's fixed for me. With which block did you test?
