Bone meal used on rooted dirt causes the particles to appear above it, despite the growth being below it
Bone meal used on rooted dirt will cause hanging roots to be created below said block of rooted dirt as a result. However, a logical flaw can be seen as despite these roots generated being strictly a beneath-the-block phenomenon, the bone meal particles are created at the top of the block (like all other cases, as this roots case is a new, unique one) rather than the bottom, commonly resulting in there being no visible particles at all if the top faces are obscured or even outright obstructed.
Expected behaviour would be to have the bone meal particles be generated underneath the blocks, where the roots are, specifically for this case (and any potential future cases like it).

Does MC-219899 describe your issue?
I was unable to see any particles at all, but that was probably because I left no open space above the rooted dirt. So yes, I believe MC-219899 describes the issue.

As of 23w51 no particles appear to be showing up at all.
