Sometimes blocks will have the wrong texture. I think it's caused by quitting (or tabbing away) and then returning. Completely shutting down MCPE and returning to the realm fixes it. It's very trippy.

Will there be a similar problem with other shaders or without shaders?
Yes. I found earlier reports reporting this issue. It looks like this is not a shader problem MCPE-14169.

Basically, I think it's caused by tabbing away. It might no longer be accessible though. I haven't experienced this since I filed the report.
Ok, it's happening again. Unfortunately I can't provide a method for inducing it. It just happens seemingly at random but usually soon after I have tabbed away or relogged.
@James McDoniel Please keep the conversation in the comments focused on the bug; command blocks are/were not confirmed for 0.15.0 by this bug and this kind of speculation just causes more irrelevant comments.

Also how can a texture appear within the game if it doesn't exist.
@James McDoniel Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the texture has been in the MCPE files for a while, just don't assume that it will be in 0.15.0

Confirmed for Samsung Galaxy Tab 4. 0.15.0 build 1. This is NOT happening in realms but in my single player world.
On my galaxy tab 4 10.1 android 5.0.2 this happens a lot, almost every day.
It happens any where for me. Realms, Servers, single player. Cannot find any pattern with it, I could me moving or stopped, redstone or no redstone, day or night flat world or normal, creative or survival. But I have found that textures that get mixed up seem to be the same for me in each version. In the official 0.15.0 release torch's texture changes to a quartz pillar texture and vines always turn into some kind of green vertical lines. I also experience this in 0.15.1 build 1.
Note I have found that hitting home then comming back to mcpe fixes this how ever tabbing away does not cause it for me,

Affects 1.16.0.64 on Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 (Android 5), No other devices that I have are affected. Tested on Windows 10, Samsung Galaxy S4 (Android 4), Galaxy S9 (Android 9), Kindle Fire.
Does this only occur with resource packs that use terrain-atlas.tga format? I don't know if perhaps the vanilla pack on Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 (Android 5) uses that still as opposed to distinct files used in Win10 & other platforms?
As seen in this image, @Dr.Awesome4333's observations seem to match this image, with each texture being replaced with the one 2 above (I got this image from this wiki page which is vertically flipped, so I guess technically the textures are replaced by the ones 2 below?). As you can see, the torch is replaced by the quartz pillar. the vines (grey) are replaced with iron bars; & as you can see from one of the other images, water & lava link to potato crops.
It's noteworthy that there have been 14 distinct versions of terrain-atlas.tga in MCPE alpha. & some of the gameplay images appear to display textures offset by more than 2 vertically, & some seem offset horizontally as well.
Modern screenshots should help reduce the uncertainty with this issue.

The device this affected is not in a working state right now, but I will look into it when I can.

I am having this issue in 1.16.220 as of 4/8/2021 textures are randomly being messed up when tabbing out and minimizing the Minecraft instance multiple times in row windows 10 Minecraft os.

I had this issue way back in 1.17.40, but I don’t think it’s present anymore.
Is this still happening?
This has happened to my friend on her 1.18.2 singleplayer world which was on an Apple device. This was about a month ago. She had 3 modpacks enabled on the world, but I do not believe they caused this bug. As of now I haven't been able to reproduce the bug but I think it may be linked to running out of ram or rom since all the textures swapped while she was still playing. I also have 14 pictures my friend of the bug and an additional 1 showing what mods were on the world. I can provide the pictures if they will be any help.
