Shipwrecks tend to generate up in the sky
The shipwrecks are generating above the ground in some cases. I am just exploring the new 1.18 generation then I found something like this (picture attached) and I know that it is a bug.

In 1.18.10.21 Beta, the shipwreck generates normally for me...
Was the flying ship close to an area you had visited before updating to 1.18.0?
Found one in seed: -1115401608 at coordinates: -599, 118, 927. I had made the world in 1.18.2 so it isn't a blending bug. It seems to generate 64 blocks above the sea floor.

Just found one of these in my survival world (Seed: -637578575) Doesn't seem to have generated a shipwreck in the latest release due to slight terrain generation changes.
Experienced this in a new 1.19.71 world in multiplayer. I wonder if this could relate to a player who is not the host triggering the chunk generation?

this is on my world too except half of it is in the air and the other half is in the water
i have had one of these in the latest release for a few weeks and then today another appeared. About level 150, half a boat is floating the in sky. It is in an area where i have already spent a lot of time and it wasn't there until today

Minecraft386882: I created a world with the provided seed and no shipwreck was generated in the sky. The screenshot you attached is also not yours. You took it from this Reddit post. Did you actually test this yourself? If so, please attach your own screenshot with the Preview header visible.
