Cannot hold jump+sneak to stay still when going up/down scaffolding
Under the precedent set by existing climbable blocks (e.g. vines, ladders) as well as flight in creative and spectator modes, the established control scheme is: jump = go up, sneak = go down (or go down faster), jump+sneak = don't go up or down.
Scaffolding as implemented in 19w04b does not have this behavior. Instead, the jump key overrides the sneak key so that holding both makes the player climb up. To be consistent with the above, jumping and sneaking should cancel each other out when both are held at once.

Duplicate of MC-143226
Still an issue in 1.16.220. Please reopen. On java edition you will just climb up. MC-143226
Cannot reproduce for Creepers in 1.17.1 either.
For players it appears that now when you sneak and press the jump key at the same time while being in water you just sink down.
That behavior might be related to MC-64163 and MC-143226. Feel free to create a new report (in case there does not exist one already) for this behavior if you think this is not intended.
I will resolve this report here as Cannot Reproduce.

This current behavior makes it also pretty difficult to place scaffolding where you are looking (requires sneaking) instead of using the "assisted" placing.
Fixing this bug would make that easier.
