Entities lose collision when in climbable blocks
What happens:
When mobs (Players, Villagers, Golems, Zombies, Creepers...) are in scaffolding, between two ladders or vines, they lose their collision with other mobs. Hitbox still works for attacks (punching, projectiles...)
Expected behavior: Collision inside of scaffolding should be the same like anywhere else (on the ground, in water, in the air...)
EDIT (21.11.2020): This also leads to maxentitycramming not working here, as no pushing can go on here, just like against ladders and vines.

This issue is actually a duplicate of MC-177062.
This is the same as MC-177062. Altough this is created earlier and has more affected versions, that has more comments, followers and voted, and more accurately describes the issue, as such I suggest resolving this one as duplicate.
Agreed with user-f2760; resolving this ticket as a forward-duplicate of MC-177062.

Please check if this is still an issue for you in 1.16 Release Candidate 1 or later.
Updated the Ticket, yes, the bug is still there. It did not magically disappear
Added vines and ladders to the bugreport as it is (now) the same story there. No way to push mobs off them...
RobinDinVienna please don't update the category on reports only mods & mojang are allowed to do that.
@Anthony Cicinelli
Ok, didn't know that, but why is the feature not restricted then? Should I open a meta bug report about this jira? If the ticket owner can change something, it seems to me like it should be utilized to cut down on sorting work needed. I use a Jira elsewhere too, and there, anything that is not supposed to be changed by the normal users is simply not a visible field.
Will not do it in the future, but the fact that this has not been fixed yet tells me, that some measures are needed to even get it remotely noticed/categorised in the first place.
Hi RobinDinVienna!
The issue has already been reported to the GitHub page that is used to develop [Bot] Arisa, so that if it is changed by a user that is not a helper/moderator/Mojang, it is reverted.
I can confirm that this issue is still present in 20w49a.
I can also confirm this behavior in 1.18.1. Here's a code analysis regarding this issue.
Code Analysis:
The following is based on a decompiled version of Minecraft 1.18.1 using MCP-Reborn.
If we look at the above class, we can see that the code specifically checks to see whether or not an entity is on a climbable block before being able to be pushed. This is evident through the following line of code:
!this.onClimbable()This basically means that if entities are on climbable blocks, they cannot be pushed.
Can confirm in 1.19.2.
Can confirm for 23w03a.
Can confirm in 1.21.4 release candidate 3
This bug could be due to the ladder/vine making the game think that all entities in the block space are climbing?
